Adult & Teen Challenge of the Greater South (ATCGS) is a faith-based, minimum 9-month residential center offered free of monthly tuition for adult men & women struggling with life-controlling issues including abuse, addiction, depression, and eating disorders.
Operating six homes and three crisis centers in Arkansas, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee, residents balance their time between the study of God's word, learning life skills and job training.ATCGS is a part of the world-wide Adult & Teen Challenge family with over 200 U.S. based centers and 1200 international centers.

Pastor Jarrod Flanagan is the President/Chief Executive Officer of Adult & Teen Challenge of the Greater South. Jarrod has been a consultant to other large Teen Challenge organizations and teaches leadership training to different ministries like Christian Temple Church in Houston, Texas.

Since 1958, Adult & Teen Challenge International USA centers have been recognized nationally as a provider of recovery services for those who desire to transform their lifestyle and develop a new life free from the devastation of drug and alcohol abuse. Since its beginning, Adult & Teen Challenge centers have founded their programs on the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Unfortunately, we do not allow women to attend with small children and/or are currently pregnant. However, we can refer you to other centers that do. We do not allow antidepressants, anxiety, mood stabilizers or any psychotropic medications. We also do not allow sleep aids, Gabapentin or any medications of a narcotic or addictive nature.
The Arkansas Women's Center is a 4,000 square foot home on nine acres in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. The Arkansas Men's Center is a 4,000 square foot home on nine acres in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. The rugged beauty and fascinating natural wonders of the Arkansas Ozark Mountain Region provide students with an exciting and inspiring place to connect with God.

God used this program to completely change and transform my life. I was bound by hopelessness, uncontrollable anger, and what seemed like an endless cycle of addiction. February makes 7 years clean, sober, and set free from life controlling problems. This program really works! I highly recommend to anyone struggling and wondering if you can too be free from addiction.

I came to Adult and Teen Challenge of the Greater South in March 2020. I was an alcoholic who lost everything and nearly lost my life. I was hopeless and could not see my life ever amounting to anything. This program has saved my life. It did not only restore my broken past but gave me a chance at a new life I never knew was a possibility. I am forever grateful

Ive been involved with this ministry for the last 5 years. I can truly say that the centers under their umbrella provide a great refuge and safe haven for students to experience life transformation and develop a personal relationship with God! As a staff member, this ministry provides a great platform to impact lives and there's plenty of opportunity for promotion and advancement!

In my experience, this organization does not serve the greater good of the community.
After my first interaction (thoroughly disappointing) with pastor Ray Clark, I did a bit of research to find that they are highly ineffective in producing long term results for their “students.” Their graduates also suffer from high recidivism returning to their old lifestyles.
I feel as though after meeting with their employees, they are an organization that doesn’t truly represent our Christian beliefs.

I have seen this amazing program help save many lives. I have witnessed the staff and their kind and loving mentorship with my own eyes. I have witnessed what God has done in the lives of many ladies who choose to receive the healing they so rightly deserve at this particular facility. I have also witnessed the fall of ladies who just are not ready (unfortunately). Most of all with such a high success rate Teen Challenge is doing something right. This facility is beautiful, has the highest trained staff, and allows those who want to be healed from life controlling issues to receive their transformation

I must say, God led me directly to this faith based program to completely change my life. I was lost and broken from the people, places, and things I had surrounded myself with. I also was running from dealing with the grief of losing both of my parents. I needed help, but I was beat down, in jail and had nothing left. This program took me in free of charge with nothing but the clothes on my back and provided everything I needed. It is very clear the presence of God is in this program. Spiritually, they showed me how to spend time praying to God, throwing my hands up in surrender during praise
