Our goal is to monitor our patient's growth and development and treat at the correct time according to scientifically backed research. When we have the chance to see your child around age 7 we can treat at the correct time. We would rather see a patient 5 years too early than 1 day too late! Teeth that are not erupting properly can lead to many problems that are easily corrected when diagnosed early.
I have worked in orthodontics for over 20 years. I love meeting new people and especially getting to know each of our patients and their families. I strive to meet the individual needs of each of our patients from the moment they walk in our office. Outside the office, I enjoy working with the children and youth at Central Baptist Church along with spending time with my husband and two children.
An orthodontist attends 2 to 3-years of full-time training at an accredited orthodontic specialty program. Orthodontic issues such as crooked or misaligned teeth aren't just unattractive, superficial concerns. Your first appointment will consist of a complimentary exam and a discussion of potential treatment options. This important visit will address the orthodontic needs of you or your child. If it is determined that treatment is needed additional diagnostic records will be obtained, as required. These records usually consist of diagnostic photographs and orthodontic x-rays.

During the first week after your braces are placed, and after routine adjustments are made, you will likely feel some pain, soreness or discomfort. You may take ibuprofen, acetaminophen, or other non-aspirin pain relievers while you adjust to your new braces.
