This is one of the best if not THE best Orthodontist office I have been to. Staff is super friendly and clean. The orthodontists are also super friendly and explain the plans for the teeth well.

Dr. Petritz graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Purdue University in his hometown of West Lafayette, Indiana. He graduated cum laude with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society for his academic achievements.
Dr. Shim was born and raised in Northern Virginia, where she's lived her entire life. She received her bachelor's degree in biology from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA and graduated summa cum laude. She stayed at VCU for her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, graduated at the top of her class, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
At Gladwell Orthodontics, we're intentional about giving back to the community that supports us. That's why we offer the best coffee to our friends in the neighborhood (all are welcome!) in an effort to support programs and charities in our community. My daughter has been receiving her treatment for a few months and TWICE in 3 weeks her device has partially fallen off of her teeth. (One side, while still attached to the other side, so it is literally hanging in her mouth.) The second time it happened was last night around 6:15pm. The wires were cutting her mouth and obviously this was extremely uncomfortable for her. She was crying, couldn’t eat, etc. Gladwell advertises their “emergency line you can call after hours. Gladwell Orthodontist is a fantastic practice! Each and every staff member is nothing but kind and helpful. They make everything from the initial appointment set up to meeting the doctor such a simple and easy process, and they always make time to see you if something is not right. They say they work for the better customer experience but actually they make you feel that they are doing a favor instead. Doctor is very rude and arrogant. After paying $6,000 for invialign and 14 months into the treatment plan, my son’s upper tray was lose and were blamed for non-compliance. We were forced to give additional $200 for a temporary retainer and also were asked to leave the practice by the Doctor. Is this the customer experience you expect from your service provider? They often forget, their family runs on customer’s fees. I guess they have lots of demand and they really don’t

Have been in treatment for over two yrs. Always get great attention from the front desk and the Ortho assistants. I think I have seen 3-4 different Drs. but Dr. Jennifer Shim has been THE BEST!!! The way she explains and takes her time with her patients is just great. You actually feel like she is there to help you and answer your questions. In all this time I have only had one "misunderstanding" with them and the manager immediately called me and they solved it. Office is always clean. Can't wait to finish my treatment with Invisalign and get my perfect smile.
