Perspectives Charter Schools is a network of five open-enrollment middle and high schools committed to educating scholars and empowering staff. Our mission is to provide students with a rigorous and relevant education, based on the ethical principles of A Disciplined Life. Perspectives students are prepared for life in a changing world with the tools to succeed.
This holistic model fosters ethical leadership and cultivates agency. For over twenty years, our network has served public school students in grades 6 -12 on our city's Southside. Our college prep curriculum leverages instruction and personalized learning. Students can take advantage of certification programs, career development, and early college credit.

Services
At Perspectives, our students are intelligent, compassionate, and driven. We aim to grow ethical leaders by living A Disciplined Life in our Southside Chicago communities. We teach challenging and relevant college preparatory curriculum that deepens critical thinking. We personalize instruction and leverage technology to drive student growth, while also using project based learning to develop problem solving skills.
We are seeking transformative leaders who hold a deep belief that all of our students can achieve the tools to become ethical people engaged in a meaningful life. We aim to recruit, develop, and retain the most highly qualified teachers and support staff who embody the characteristics of A Disciplined Life and actively promote the school's mission in all that they do.
For over 20 years, Perspectives has worked hard to provide our students with a challenging curriculum, additional resources, and relevant experiences that will equip them with the tools they need to be successful in a changing, competitive, and diverse society. Our nearly 1,800 students come from Chicago's most economically challenged communities with limited access to opportunity.
Perspectives was created by two Chicago Public School teachers who believed that character development and academic achievement are interrelated. Together, they built an innovative holistic education model combining academic rigor, social-emotional learning, and experiential opportunities into a curriculum they created called A Disciplined Life.
Perspectives' Board of Directors, Executive Leadership Team, and Principals ensure the favorable outcome of our mission to prepare students to become ethical leaders engaged in a meaningful life. Our board members are leaders in their respective industries. Many have been long time supporters of Perspectives.
