He practiced there for 4 years, during which time he began to build the reputation of honesty, determination and hard work that the corporation is known for today.In 1985, Dr. Clompus ventured forward by moving his office to Westtown. In 1987, Dr. Steven Reto joined the practice with intentions to carry on the fine reputation of the practice.

At our two Chester County office locations, in West Chester and Exton PA, Dr. Steven Reto, Dr. Harry Halscheid, Dr. Christopher Lehman and Dr. Sabrina Sherman provide comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages. Drs. Reto, Halscheid, Lehman and Sherman are Board-Certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease, and all four doctors provide emergency on-call service for patients 24 hours per day and 7 days per week.
Our practice offers a diverse level of ophthalmic services from comprehensive eye examinations for all ages with a strong emphasis on maintaining ocular health to treating and surgically managing ocular disease. Our physicians are at the forefront of pediatric eye care and are pleased to have Dr. Chris Lehman on staff.
In our practice, Drs. Steven Reto, Harry Halscheid, Christopher Lehman and Sabrina Sherman perform comprehensive eye examinations at both the West Chester and Exton office locations. Our doctors examine patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. All examinations include visual assessments and ocular health evaluations, including glaucoma testing and pupil dilation.
Currently, between 6 and 10 percent of all sports injuries are concussions. These injuries have become so prevalent that even the definition of a concussion has changed. In the past, concussions were defined as a loss of consciousness due to trauma. Now, concussions are defined as a temporary disruption of normal brain activity due to trauma.

Front desk staff are polite and helpful. Dr. Halscheid is an excellent provider of eye care. He is professional, thorough, patient with any questions and so kind. Dale always helps me with issues with my glasses. She adjusted my progressive lens and today they are working better. Dr. Sherman recently took care of my husband in an emergency injury situation. She gave him excellent care and he recovered in 24 hours. I love this practice and have been going there for over 10 years. I would recommend anyone who needs eye care to go to Clompus and Reto in Exton or West Chester.

A day ago I called the office for an appointment and spoke with Wendy who told me she would try to fit me in for an appointment as I had some discomfort in my eye and was getting concerned it was something serious. She lady fit me in the next evening as the last appointment for the day. Well I just wanted to thank Dr. Sherman for conducting a mini surgery on my eye tonight. No one wants to go to the eye doctor and hear you have a small metal object in your eye. I was very surprised and concerned when she told me the news. Dr Reto and his staff are very professional and efficient from start to finish. They observed all the precautions for the Corona virus which made me feel safe to come into their office. I was greeted immediately when I walked in the door. There was very little wait time prior to being seen.

Clompus, Reto, & Halscheid Vision Associates are excellent eye doctors. They are professional in their staff as well as their practice. I have been going to them for years. Initially I went to them as recommended by my physician. I was having flashes and , even though I was a new patient, Dr Reto saw me immediately. I was diagnosed and sent to a specialist within a day or so and my vision was saved. I highly recommend their practice.

Extremely rude, unprofessional, and condescending front desk personnel who refused to give me my prescription. The original woman that spoke with me was very pleasant and accommodating. She told me to wait while she printed out my Rx. Another woman stormed out from the back and proceeded to loudly discuss why she wouldn’t give me my prescription in the common area in front of other patients. I gave 2 stars because my doctor was nice however I felt rushed. It is my opinion that the less than mediocre customer service brings down the integrity of this business. This review is for the Exton branch of their office.
I ordered prescription sunglasses from them weeks ago. After ten days of waiting I called the office asking when they might be ready, no answer was available. At the the two week mark I called and was told they were ready, but were not at the branch where I ordered them. Finally, one day short of three weeks after placing the order I received a call stating they were made but shipped with lenses of the wrong prescription.
It is no wonder that companies such as Warby Parker have gained a huge piece of market share from local optician's

I have been a patient for a few years now & I am always amazed at the great care/service given to me on each visit. I presently am having a problem with my allergies which has effecting my eyes. Itchy, watery, irratated, to the point nothing I was doing to ease the discomfort was helping. I called at 11am on Monday & was given a noon appt with Dr. Bakkar. The service & care given to me was excellent. The office staff also assisted me in faxing in my prescription to my insurance provider so that we could reduce the cost of the prescription (as we all know is out of sight). I just can

Excellent customer service! The MD's at this office really take their time with you and are very knowledgeable! I had an eye emergency and the staff took me that same day, and the MD was kind enough to call the RX in so I could get back to work sooner and not wait too long at the pharmacy. I have been a patient for approx. 5 years. I HIGHLY recommend this practice. They are top notch! Excellent for contacts and eye glasses as well!
