Many of our team members are pioneers in the renewable energy industry, and offer our customers a wealth of experience and expertise in solar technology, design/build craftsmanship, energy policy, finance, utility regulations, and local industry. Meet some members of the team. After 17 years building and selling two businesses, Phil followed his altruistic passion and started working in the solar and renewable energy industry in 2007.
Two years after selling residential and commercial solar installations, Phil, an industrial designer by training, had the opportunity to develop the world's first solar arrays to float on water. He has run the product management team at a local solar installation company and worked for Siemens to help Northern California Cities and Counties implement energy efficiency and renewable energy systems.

SolarCraft is one of the best run companies I have ever had the pleasure with which to deal. Beginning with a $1,000 deposit on August 20, 2021, the project could not have gone more smoothly. I was immediately sent "What to Expect When Going Solar", a step-by-step description of the entire installation and it went exactly as promised. On September 9thI received the final layout of the solar panels. On October 12th, the main electrical panel was upgraded for solar. On November 24th the solar panel installation took place. On December 9th the inspection by the town of Tiburon took place

My new Enphase PV and Battery backed-up system installed by SolarCraft truly exceeds my expectations in every way including reducing my electric usage to less than zero. The SolarCraft team also exceeded my expectations during every step of the sales, evaluation, design, installation and commissioning of my system. Before contacting Solarcraft, I had done a lot of my own research about various systems and configurations in order to maximize the value of my investment. The SolarCraft team provided their own experience and prescriptive input to inform the ultimate design. The physical configuration

We had Solarcraft install a complete Home Solar panel and Full battery Back-up for our house. In summary, we are absolutely thrilled with how well this project turned out. Right from the initial discussions , the Solarcraft team was on top of all the issues including working with our city government to procure the necessary permits etc. The entire project was completed in about 90 days . We applaud the entire Solarcraft team...Darren, Talon, Josh, Corey and Janell ..thank-you for staying with us and taking us across the finish line. Your attention to detail and willingness to follow-up on all issues

We had Solar Craft install a new solar system last summer, with a Tesla Powerwall battery. It's been fantastic seeing how much solar is now powering our house, *and* knowing we have backup power. We had our first test of it recently during a power outage, and were so pleased that all the systems we'd hoped would be backed up did work, including the refrigerator, router/wifi, two computers and the heating system, as well as the TV and landline phones, overhead lights in a few rooms, and several electrical outlets. It was great to have no major disruption during the outage. (We opted not

Expectations vs. reality: sorely disappointed.
Reading the most recent review from Frank B, I wish I'd had a similar experience. Unfortunately, this was the most frustrating contracting experience I've had. I'll try and make it short and concise, but also include useful, actionable feedback that could be insightful for the company and other potential customers:
- **6 months** end to end, from signing, to system getting activated. I signed in May, missed the entire summer of solar generation, and was up and running mid-November. On the contract I signed, "Total Design and Build

We used SolarCraft and had a fantastic experience. From start to finish they communicated professionally. They got the job done ahead of schedule and we couldn't be more pleased. Rob was our sales guy and explained the entire process before hand. David worked with us to get the panels turned on with PG&E. Based on our experience we would recommend SolarCraft to anyone looking to install solar panels.

I am posting this review after becoming disillusioned with this firm. They have no serious customer service philosophy in play and seem to be driven to diminish their unhappy customers with combative unfriendly practices.
I had a 28-panel system installed by them some years ago. The install crew initially placed the panels on my roof without consulting their own designer's plans. This meant that 1/3 of the panels were left in shadow. They returned to move the panels eventually. This operation resulted in five holes in my otherwise new roof, because they relocated the arms holding the panels

I first met Solarcraft when they were installing PV arrays at my Liberty School project in Petaluma. I admired their work enough that I had them install PV systems at my house and my father's house. Recently I noticed a panel in my array had a shattered glass top. I contacted Solarcraft and was surprised to get a response the next day - and a new panel installed the morning after that! Great service - Thank you Zach and everyone, I will keep recommending Solarcraft

Very disappointing service from this company. They raised annual service contract on solar pool heater last year by 46%. Who does that to their long-standing customers? But worse their service record is terrible. This is the 3rd consecutive time I have sent in their form to schedule spring and winter servicing, only to be told I’m not on the schedule for the dates I requested, and was given a date two weeks later, but only after I called to ask where they were. Why do they ask for dates if they are going to ignore them. Very nice people but very poor systems and controls.

SolarCraft is a local company that is efficient and personable, with high quality product and a competent instal team. We had them do a fairly straightforward instal here in Fairfax and added on a 50 amp outlet for car charging. If you prefer to own your very own solar system, I highly recommend checking out SolarCraft!

Solar craft came to my rescue. During the fire evacuation in October 2017 my solar panels were stolen right off my roof. after calling multiple solar companies, all of which either flat out ignored me or wanted to replace everything at huge expense, SolarCraft came to my rescue.
they worked with what was left and made great suggestions to optimize the existining older panels the thieves did not take and upgraded what was really needed, retaining some of the system yet getting me up and running.
Taylor, my account rep was very professional, communicative and worked with my particular situation

I hired SolarCraft to install our thermal pool solar panel system. From the get go, the team at SolarCraft (starting w/ Heather Mofle) was extremely friendly, professional, and diligent. The initial scoping session with Roy was informative, and I was very pleased with his attention to detail and appreciation for the aesthetics of the system. He didn't try and over-sell me on a system, but rather, recommended the appropriate system and configuration for our needs. The installation team was very courteous, professional, punctual, and efficient. They completed the work as planned and communicated

Only worked with them a couple times. Both times the technician was Byron. He gets high marks, 5-Stars. Great tech, knowledgable, helpful, experienced, good attitude, and was willing to go above and beyond.
ONLY reason I am not giving the company a higher rating is that getting a call back to schedule an appointment has always taken multiple phone calls and a delay to receive a reply to actually schedule.
Zack was cool, and Jordan was cool as well, and Byron is MY GUY. Would absolutely give full 5 stars if it didn't take more than a couple days to actually schedule an appointment. both

A real mixed bag. We had solar installed about 4 years ago and everything was great. A five-star experience. a couple months ago both of our inverters died and needed replacement under warranty. What a nightmare. It has been two months of "they say it's shipping today or tomorrow" but it has been over 2 months and both are still not replaced. We got one replaced after a month. Like the other 1-star review says - warranty work is not good. Yes, it is hard to establish if it's ABB or SolarCraft that's at fault for the replacement issues, but SolarCraft has NOT been communicative or very helpful otherwise
