William J Bogan High School
Our mission as a learning community is to attract and support engaged learners to develop the IB Learner Profile by creating an academic culture of growth, success, and respect. Our program encourages students to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people with their differences can also be right. Do you dream about traveling the world?
Services
The Bogan Cafeteria serves hot meals to students and staff through four lunch periods. Also, our Food Service Staff prepares brown bag breakfasts that students receive upon entering our building each morning. Bogan High School maintains a closed-campus. This means that students are not allowed to leave our building during their lunch periods.
We are currently planning for the 2020-21 school year during unprecedented time. As I look over the work we have done in the past few years, I feel confident that we are ready to embrace these changes and provide our students with the education that they deserve. As we work together this year, I want us to focus on creating the BEST experiences for students.
Bogan Computer Technical High School was authorized as an International Baccalaureate World School in 2004. We believe in the IB philosophy of education for a better world, which we demonstrate through the implementation of a challenging curriculum based upon global contexts, approaches to learning skills and the IB Learner Profile.
Due to a generous donation from Barry Greenstein, a 1972 alumni, Bogan has been able to purchase enough computers to fill two labs, several SMART Boards (interactive white boards), software programs, a new library research center, calculators, and a classroom set of Alpha Smart palm powered laptops.

I went here and graduated. The place had some good teachers but the two that were amazing was the Chorus teacher (Mr. Davis) and the Drama teacher (Ms. Smith) who passed after I left. The Farrs are decent teachers too. My uncle taught here a decade ago when it was still good. As far as computer classes that you can use later on in life for a career than this is not the place. The rest of the staff is questionable at best. The Social Studies/History department has some okay teachers. The rest don't care and are just there for a check.

This school doesn't really prepare you for anything that is necessary for the real world.
