Dr. Alex Casey is a native Alabamian who received his Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of West Georgia where he was a student-athlete (football). He majored in Health and Physical Education. In 2011, he graduated from Life University in Marietta, GA. He's one of very few Chiropractor's with advanced proficiency in acupuncture and manipulation under anesthesia.

Electrical Stimulation is a specialized form of electrical current that is administered to an area soft tissue that has been injured. It is usually placed on a muscle or joint that is causing pain. A comfortable amount of electrical current is introduced to the area being treated. It will help decrease muscle spasms, reduce pain levels, decrease swelling, and increase strength.

I’ve had nothing but a positive experience at Birmingham Health in bluff park! I’ve been going in weekly during my second half of my pregnancy, and have been amazed with how good I feel on a daily basis. Many of the normal discomforts of pregnancy during a third trimester have been eased and I am so glad I decided to start seeing Dr Casey. Him and his staff are wonderful. I feel listened to, remembered, and my needs are addressed. 5 stars all the way!

Although staff and Doctor were nice, I felt scammed. I called, asked if they took insurance, gave them my info and they said yes. Checked in, got x-rays and other test done, got adjusted and went to check out and was told my total for today was going to be $248.52 and each visit after would be $65 and that my insurance was not in network.
I felt that I should have been told the cost prior to visit. If I would have known this I would not have gone and found someone else. I have been to other chiropractors before, had x-rays and have never had to pay more then my insurance deductible of $50.

Ladies who have been trying to get pregnant for years like me need to give Birmingham health a try. I was doing ivf cycles for a year and a half when a friend suggested I try fertility acupuncture. I went to Dr. Casey prior to my egg retrieval, then also the month before my transfer, and the day of transfer. We finally achieved pregnancy & the best part is that we are having twins. Dr. Casey is awesome and very informative. He is the ONLY physician/chiropractor who has ever truly diagnosed my neck and back pain. He explained what type of treatment he can do for me and started a plan all WITHOUT medications. After my first treatment, I started feeling better immediately. Thank you Dr Casey. Also, Brittany is great as well. Sweet, personable and friendly. Overall wonderful and peaceful environment.
