And she has won numerous Houzz awards for her design and customer service throughout the years. I was raised in a very artistic family in Western New York where my parents were a huge influence in my development of creativity and style. My parents did all their own home improvements, and as their little helper I learned to love the smell of saw dust from an early age.

If walls could talk! Historical renovations offer many challenges and surprises, but to have an opportunity to preserve and update an 1872 home was a dream come true. Modern updates such as radiant floor heating was a must. However, maintaining the original integrity in keeping the wavy glass windows means putting on that extra sweater in the colder months.

We have used Monica on four projects on four different houses over the years. Two were small projects and two were large renovations. She did a great job on all of them. She listens to you and your desires and preferences then offers suggestions and ideas. We are very happy with her work. Also she is very cost conscious and is familiar with products and the places to buy stuff. We highly recommend Monica!

Monica has really great design vision and can help you come up with cool and different ideas for your home. No matter what your design taste, she has ideas for everything. She can also help you find quality items at the best price or help you find ways to save money on a project. She's also just a really nice person. I would recommend her for your next interior design project. We will be using her again.

Excellent interior decorator. Great job listening to our needs and our concerns of our project remodeling our kitchen and coming up great ideas we never even had thought about. Monica had great communication with us through the whole project her crew was great on time and worked very hard on the project. Their attention to detail was awesome and very much appreciated. I just had my kitchen remodeled with Monica Durante Interiors. I am well pleased with the results. She is quite the visionary a true artist. What I had in mind and what she invisioned were completely different and I am so glad I went with her ideas. My kitchen looks amazing! The labor process went quite well. She uses her sons for the labor which I was impressed with. They stay busy, their workmanship is great and they cleaned up every night before they left. And they are pleasent to be around. Monica has a unique ability to get the best bang for the buck. My other estimates exceeded Monica

I had a total remodel of my kitchen, granite countertops, new cabinets, wooden ceiling, wall tile, sink, plumbing, electrical, etc. Being the engineering type I did my homework and researched several other interior designers. I also checked ratings on other websites and found out Monica had won first place award on one of her large remodels on the houzz website which is impressive. I became a little skeptical when I read the last review on google but after comparing estimates and digesting her ideas I really liked her plans for my kitchen better then other designers. She is quite the visionary

Monica Durante Interiors (MDI), is a talented designer. Where our remodel became an unpleasant experience was in the execution of the project. Monica prefers to use her own contractors who happen to be her sons. Their work lacked competence and care. For example: Leaving sawdust in drawers and cabinets; not cleaning up after themselves; we requested they use ramboard to cover floors, which they did in some places, but when they ran out they used dirty cardboard with grout on the bottom instead of purchasing more ramboard; bathroom tile work left much to be desired; they left grout stains on
