Services
The Arthur Murray Studios teaching is on a scholastic basis, and degrees of dancing achieved are varied. Instruction progresses through: Student Introductory & Variety Programs, and Associate or Full Programs in Bronze, Silver, Gold, Gold Bar and Gold Star Standards. This system is called the Medalist System and is used worldwide.
This category includes all the dances done to "American" music- Big Band, Jazz, Blues, Rock 'n' Roll, Country, Disco, and Pop. Dances in this style include East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Jive, Jitterbug, Lindy Hop, Country Swing, and Hustle. Typically Swing dances are characterized by a lively beat, quick feet, and a body rhythm or pulse.
This category includes dances that glide around the floor, and thus are best suited to more elegant spaces. Ballroom dances are smooth and graceful, requiring strong use of the feet and close proximity to your partner. The romantic nature of ballroom dances makes them the most popular for Weddings and Anniversaries (the waltz in particular).
Don't wait until the last minute. Learning to dance takes time. Many couples start to prepare for their first dance six months, to a year in advance. Although you may be surprised with what our couples have accomplished in a few short weeks. Have a few choices in mind for the wedding song.
If you have a specific song that you would like to use for the wedding please bring it to your first lesson, so your instructor can teach you the appropriate dance for your music.Be aware that not every wedding dance will be a Waltz. Most songs that couples bring into the studio range from being a Rumba or Foxy, to even a Swing or Salsa.

Here at Phoenix Arthur Murray's, we teach almost any dance you'd see a couple doing on the dance floor. We can help you with anything from a slow romantic dance like foxy or night club two-step, to a fast and high energy dance like disco or social hip hop. Just about any dance, you do with a partner, we teach.

This review is so overdo. Sarah helped my husband and I choreograph an epic wedding dance to two versions of a song (that we switched in the middle of the song), using two styles of dance — foxy and salsa.
She was patient and is a beautiful dancer and great teacher.
If you have no ballroom dancing experience (like I did) to get a truly great dance you should go to her months ahead of time. We worked with her for 8 months (private lessons once a week) and were thrilled with the result but even 3-4 months would probably yield a great result with one style of dance and song version. I had a Groupon for 3 private lessons, 3 group lessons and 3 dance parties. It turns out, they actually end up giving you 4 nights of lessons and during your Groupon period, unlimited group lessons and dance parties on other days of the week! My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time learning the dances that we were most interested in during our private lessons, then took advantage of the group lessons, learning whatever was the dance of the night. The instructors are really great, Luis was just right for us and we had a great time learning from him. During the dance parties, all the instructors

My experience at Arthur Murray has been exceptional. They are true professionals from the very beginning. I had very little dance knowledge or ability and they made me very comfortable and at ease. The instructors are well educated in all types of dance. They made it a pleasant experience and made me feel like I could do it. They give you every opportunity to succeed and offer a variety of classes and parties to help you learn. I feel it is a great value for me and after going through some trying personal issues it gave me a great outlet to give me more confidence in the social world of dance.

I've been a student and part of the Arthur Murray - Phoenix family for going on 6 mos. now. I honestly have to say that it has been one of the MOST positive experiences of my life. They are one of the RARE businesses today that has a heart. Everyone from the owner on down strive to get to know each/every student and also line up to dance with you at the weekly parties. They encourage their more advanced students to do the same too which gives beginners extra dance floor time. It's such a WONDERFULLY positive environment. The parties are such GREAT fun with dancers ranging from their twenties to

I've been coming to Arthur Murray in Phoenix on and off for about 8 months. The one on one instruction has been great from my instructor Tina. The instructors know just about every type of dance you could want to learn, even various international dance styles. I've always felt welcomed there, and everyone has been very nice. It's not free, be prepared to spend a little bit of money, but if you approach it as an instructional class, it's on par with any other type of specialty instruction. Combine that with the top notch instructors, and it makes for a great experience. They will work with whatever
