Services
There are few times in your life where you are compelled to leap. Bent Oak is one of those. After contemplating building a winery for many years, we did just that. We shook hands on a deal to bring in awesome grapes, grabbed a glass of wine at a favorite place and while looking out over an idyllic vineyard, standing stalwart in the middle we see this majestic weathered oak.
John "FatCat" Catalano leads our winemaking team. His 15 years of experience include producing distinctive wines from both Texas and California as well as vineyard establishment and management. John is enrolled in both Viticulture and Enology programs at Texas Tech University. John's approach is to dig deep into understanding the soil, climate, and the varietal fit for what Bent Oak wants to produce for our customers.
Don't forget to add special instructions in the shopping cart to let us know approximately when you will pick up your order. Also, as requested by many of you, we have added a "Tip for Wine Ambassadors" non-taxed product at the bottom of the page. We are authorized to ship our wine to California, Florida, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia.

Wonderful visit. Fast friendly service. Very consistent wine from California and Texas grapes. They offer a good tasting zinfandel from Sonoma county grapes. SO much better than Lodi California grapes. Job well done. Small, intimate setting with a warm inviting vibe.

A hidden gem in the middle of a busy city. I've been a member for a few years. I love coming here alone for some wine tasting and Charcuterie and with friends. Staff and members are super sweet and attentive. The atmosphere is very personalized and homey rather then commercialized. Every Friday and weekends, they have live music. The tasting menu changes every few weeks to keep you on intrigue. Reservations are recommended.

Great place, the guy helping us out did a fantastic job, and the interior was warm and inviting. Prices are very fair, the Sangiovese was so good (and the rest wasn't bad either)!

Went there for the 1st time 6/12/21. It looked like a small office in an industrial park from the outside. Inside it is a very different story. Warm and inviting, eclectic decor made me feel at ease as did the staff members who greeted us upon entry. We made reservations for a tasting and getting us to our pre-chosen location went very smoothly without delay. Our server was gracious and spent a significant amount explaining about each of the wines we would be tasting, not all at once, only as they arrived. We had tastes of 5 different wines, the '18 Blanc du Bois, TX, '19 Sauvignon Blanc TX High

This was a real treat. We looked for winery that was open before 4pm. We were staying in San Antonio and wanted to visit Austin TX. We found this place by searching best wineries near Austin. When we 1st arrived, it looked like a little store front in a strip mall. When we entered it was a whole different story. We were greeted by Debbie and Bryan who both turned out to be extremely gracious hosts. They have wines grown in TX and CA. The TX grapes are grown in the High Plaines near New Mexico where it is warm during the day and cooler at night. I decided to do a tasting with only the TX wines.

We found Bent Oak as a happy accident. Their wines are a mixture of California and Texas fruit. We'd never had the opportunity to taste Texas wines before and were very pleasantly surprised. Everything we've tasted is incredible. We enjoyed the opportunity to meet the winemakers and were thrilled with their willingness to let us taste whatever they had available. We are sad they can't ship to Arizona but are so glad we had the opportunity to visit and leave with some amazing wines. And OMG THEY HAVE AMAZING SPARKLING!
