This is my second round of PT at Oakeson. The first was for a hip replacement and now I have a broken humerus bone. This break is complex and quite painful.
My therapist is Marissa and she makes it all ok. We (myself and other patients) have light hearted conversations, along with lots of laughter, while doing our exercises.
I've made great progress and Marissa always provides encouragement along the way.
I have gone to other PT places and felt invisible. They were too busy for my questions and it was very mechanical.
Highly recommend the entire team - especially Marissa!

I had preop physical therapy for my knee. My therapist was Collin and he was great. He's a very nice guy with a great sense of humor. I am also planning on going there for my postop physical therapy. The receptionist is very nice and accommodating. I had a wonderful experience there.

See my previous review. Here is my update:

I asked Ian if he is "JESUS" as I feel like he heeled me after just two visits, despite a year of suffering and inability to walk!! I asked him if he has tried to walk on water as he just might be able to and not know. LOL!! I cancelled my follow up appointment with my podiatrist!! No need to see her anymore since I have been properly diagnosed by a PHYSICAL THERAPIST (despite having seen a dozen different podiatrists) and he worked his magic!!

By the way, Oakeson Physical Therapy offers WATER THERAPY!! Check out the picture of their water

I love this place! Marissa is my PT and she truly cares about me. She remembers the little details like me being new to the area and every time i come in she gives tips and suggestions to make my life in AZ amazing. She is always concerned about my physical well being and i feel my concerns and needs are always addressed. I haven't been paired with any other therapists but i see their patients just as happy as I am!

My Doctor, Shane Martin, recommended Oakeson PT. This was my 3rd experience with PT and hands down the best! The first was way too crowded, the second was impossible to get an appointment because I work.

I feel as if I my therapist, Marissa, has an interest in my case and my recovery. While I may never be an athlete she has given me faith that I will be back in yoga and hiking again!

Working with Marissa I have come to realize my hip replacement is strong and sturdy. I've learned not to favor or continuously lean to one side when walking. In addition to my exercises there is always

Good and Bad... The good is that Bob is very knowledgeable. The bad is after a few times of helping, he ignored what i was saying, that I was getting worse. In fact, some of the exercises he gave me may not have been helpful. I don't know, but I do know he seemed to lose interest in helping me and hearing that I was in worse pain than when I started.

I first walked in to a very clean, and friendly atmosphere. I tried checking in and was told, "your auth didn't come in, so we can't see you today". I asked when they started getting the auth and was told yesterday, I made my appt. and gave the scheduler all my insurance info a week before. If the auth lady would of responded with a different tone and option I would of probably made a follow-up appt. customer service is clearly not a priority, It's unfortunate how one employee can ruin the whole experience.

The office manager reached out to me, a great customer service

My name is Rosemarie and I am a patient at Oakeson Physical Therapy. I can not say enough of wonderful things about the place and the staff. They are so polite, caring, helpful and knowledgeable. I have been to other places, but this is the best by far. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I LOVE, and i do mean LOVE Oakenson. Theor staff is great. I have worked with both land therapy and aqua therapy. Stacy who does Aqua is amazing and can usually figure out what to do to not flair things up, and if by chance he does flair something he is very good adjusting the routine. Ian for land therapy has worked well around my many problems and adjusted well to not flair my back while working on my knee. Out of all the pbysical therapy places I have been I recommend Oakenson as the best. Their staff is knowledgeable and try best to work with multiple ailments.

I have had to go to a physical therapist 3 times in the last few years. The first two times, for shoulder and foot, were not helpful and, frankly, I wasn't sure I wanted to try a third. My doctor referred me to Oakeson so I figured I would go and see what they could do for my achilles tendon following surgery. I am so very glad I went. I have been seeing Bob who has been gentle and knowledgeable. He explains everything to me. Probably the biggest surprise to me about this place is that I have not been passed around from therapist to assistant to therapist again. Bob started with me

The staff at Oakeson is welcoming, professional, truly care about the people that walk into their facility, and will do everything they can to get the patients needs met. Ian is personable, listens, and is committed to seeing the patient reach the goal of healing through the treatment given at each PT session, as well as long-term lifestyle and home therapy plans that the patient can be successful with. We are so grateful our PCP recommended Oakeson to us, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone seeking the highest quality of PT care.

I needed Aqua Therapy per the Doctor. I have been treated for over 3 years with procedures and medicine for the SI Joint and Periformis Muscle. This place gave me my life back! I know that sounds extreme but it really is true. I can move better and am now taking less meds. I just wish I was sent there sooner. I know use the rec center pools to do what I was taught there. If I ever need any kind of therapy again it would be there. Joan was my therapist. She was great! I do like that I had her every time. They get to know you that way and in turn you get more comfortable with them with every visit

Oakeson has helped me recover from major ankle and foot surgery. In addition to exceeding my surgeon's goals and progression standards, Bob also helped me attain personal goals in rehabbing my ankle so that I could go on an Alaskan cruise and be very active with excursions such as salmon fishing and hiking.

I came into this place with severe back pain, scoliosis...was going to a chiropractor for 3 years to no avail. A year of going here, I can now deadlift and exercise, I was originally told by a spinal surgeon/ expert I would never be able to lift over 30 pounds without pain. Easily the friendliest environment I've ever been in before and they know what they are doing, literally life changing. Thanks Ian.

Prior to going to Oakeson I had experienced an extensive rehab effort years prior by what I call the 'big box PT chain' in Phoenix. As a result I had my own bias in having to seek physical therapy assistance again after a full shoulder replacement.

Then I was recommended by a coworker to Oakeson Physical Therapy and specifically to Ian Hover who has vast skills and knowledge in rehabing orthopedic injuries. My first impression when I walked through the door at Oakeson was a good one. The ladies on the front desk are friendly and personable, and the facility is new and is nicely presented

This was my first experience with physical therapy, and I had no idea just how special Oakeson's philosophy as a practice was until I spoke with others about their physical therapy experiences. At Oakeson you always work with the same licensed physical therapist from your first treatment to your last and through all stages of your appointment from warm-up to cool down. Ian was my therapist, and even though the whole process was unfamiliar to me, I was never intimidated by it because he was always right there to guide me through it. His wide range of skill & experience allowed him to
