Services
I grew up in Kenya, Africa because my parents were medical missionaries there for 30+ years. Watching my father serve others convinced me at an early age to pursue a life devoted to helping others. Orthodontics melds two of my passions: strategic problem solving and improving my patients' lives.

I'm an avid skydiver, competing at the national and world level as part of the US Parachute Team.

5 Star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Experience from scheduling my consult with the two lovely ladies at the front desk (Debbie & Martha) to meeting Dr. Barnes and discussing my “new smile goals” I felt at ease and very informed when I left. On the day I got my braces put on everyone was amazing, and very patient with me. They talked me through each step of the process. I’m very happy with the decision I made to choose Skyblue Orthodontics. I will definitely be recommending them to my family and friends. I am excited to be on this new smile journey.

Amazing overall experience at Skyblue Orthodontics. The ladies at the front desk always have a pleasant manner and make us feel right at home. They have always been so accommodating with our scheduling needs. All of the assistants that worked with my child during our 2.5 years at Skyblue were amazing. They would always take the time to thoroughly communicate with the child and parent. And then Dr Jay is the star of the show. My child was thrilled to be his patient. He was very personable and down to earth. We have no regrets with our service and are so pleased with our child's beautiful smile.

Just started my treatment with Dr. J. From the first call to the office I knew I found the place for my orthodontic treatment. The ladies at the front desk are so nice and even called me later after my braces were put on to see how I was doing. I'm looking forward to continuing my treatment with Skyblue and Dr. J.

I was a patient way back when he was first transitioning into the Dunn location. I was a patient of the previous orthodontist and was absolutely happy with him. I loved the girls working there and the facility was nice and clean. We were not told that the location would be handed over to Dr. Youngblade ahead of time.
I did not like Dr. Youngblade at all! I had my braces taken off early summer 2005. As soon as he came in he had all my brackets taken off and new ones put on (very painful process) The change also included a much more aggressive treatment plan. I was in a lot of pain for two weeks
