Hyde Park Academy's primary purpose is to provide a safe and supportive learning environment, while ensuring students develop the strong reading, writing, speaking, critical thinking, and social emotional skills needed to be successful in college, the world of work, and life. Services
Approximately 65% are female, 45% are male. While the enrollment is largely African-American; Hispanic, Caucasian and African students are also represented. Our students come from many diverse cultural & economic backgrounds. The faculty consists of approximately 140 teachers with a professional staff that includes a nurse, social worker, psychologist & speech pathologist.
Aims to develop responsibility, practical problem-solving, good intellectual habits, ethical understanding, perseverance, resilience, an appreciation of identity and perspective and an understanding of the complexity of the modern world. Emphasis is placed on the development of skills needed to successfully navigate higher education, the workplace and society.

This school only cares about attendance not the safety of the students, the Dean is as messy as the students his mouth is like the toliet,filthy and the children lack respect for adults, and to top it off all of the misfits are the reason that the kids who want to learn can't and the bullying is off the chain,it's dad that it's going to take several serious issues and for the school to be sued for the staff to take it seriously sooo sad🤔

This school is so bad I would of gave it no stars if I could.the school is infested with rats and other bugs,the kids don't even respect teachers or staff and some of the staff let students do whatever they want kids be fighting in classrooms and teachers don't even do anything and it's a lot of bullying if your thinking about coming here I'm warning you ITS NOT SAFE this school might be one of the worst in Chicago.

School is so bad, got roaches, rats, kids with no edges, ceilings fall down, bathrooms flooding and nasty, no doors on washrooms, teachers cant teach, teachers are so mean, had a riot princpal got maced and spit on my students, kids grades are aweful, food is disgusting, foreign teachers who cant help students, and dont ever send you kids here i dont recommend at all.
