Our signature and most popular bread is a perfect blend of five pure ingredients - freshly ground, flavor-rich, 100% whole wheat flour, pure honey, filtered water, salt, and yeast.

We're Sunny & Dee, the owners of the Great Harvest Bread Co. in Johns Creek and Alpharetta, GA. In 2019, we took over the bakery that was started in 2003 by Ray and Erika as we truly believe that Great Harvest bread is the best in America! We're committed to living a healthy lifestyle, which includes a well-rounded diet, regular exercise and a balanced approach to daily living.
Be sure to take advantage of our curbside service or delivery through mobile apps (GrubHub, UberEats, DoorDash, etc). We offer limited hand delivery to our local area (MAP) and for free over $75 (not cafe items). As our breads are baked fresh daily and we don't sell anything that is not fresh, to guarantee availability call your local Bakery-Cafe-Store or order online to reserve your bakes, spreads and cafe items for lunch.
When we allow our breads to take 5 hours to be the best using traditional (non 21st century) methods, we take the same care and attention in preparing our cafe items. We are very much NOT fast food, therefore if you order for lunch between 11AM and 2PM for same-day collection, please give us a call a few minutes before arriving so you can ensure we have your order ready.
We're not a Gluten-Free bakery as we use wheat flour in our regular bakes. For our Gluten Free products we take special measure to ensure there is no contamination of surfaces and equipment, however we cannot guarantee our products do not contain particulates. Therefore our products are not recommended for celiacs or those with severe gluten allergies.
We offer free children's tours of our bakery to groups of 8 or less from a registered school facility. We show them how and why we mill wheat fresh in the bakery every day. We walk them through our entire baking process and teach them the basics of bread making theory in a fun way that they can understand and remember.

I ordered a COLD sandwich (roastbeef) and the young lady who made it, toasted it. This really, REALLY ruined my experience! I was already home when I realized this. Awesome owners, so I'll probably go back and try the COLD chicken salad sandwich and make certain it's not heated before I leave. I would drive 100 miles to buy their delicious breads!!

We moved here a few years ago and have not found local sourdough bread to our liking. We thought we'd try GHB to see if how their's is. While it's not what you can get in San Francisco, it IS very good! We also picked up a couple of sandwiches which were also very good. They have a large variety of products some of which we plan try when we go back again.

The bread varieties I've tried over the years have ALWAYS been nothing short of perfect: calzone loaf, sourdough, honey whole wheat, chocolate babka, country French, and the (superb) chocolate chip pumpkin teacake. Today's trip was specifically for the Bavarian style pretzel. All I need now is a good beer cheese dip to go with it.
