This office is a joke. They either service only certain clientele or simply discriminate. I’m a teacher and joined them without checking the reviews. What a mistake. They never answer the phone. Never call you back. Simply ignore you. The whole thing is run by two elderly ladies as a hobby. I strongly discourage you from joking them. I’m pulling out ASAP.

Worst bank I’ve ever been with, they don’t know how to answer the phone nor do they know how to handle simple things such as why my card was frozen for spending $100 dollars on bills. They have no communication skills and if it wasn’t for Meredith I wouldn’t have stayed with this bank for as long as I have. Today I’m closing my account and taking my services elsewhere.

Fraudulent charges to my account for an electric and gas payment. Credit union would not refund and insisted that I contact the gas and electric company to get credit. That is idiotic since I did not have an account with the gas / electric company to tell them what account the fraudulent payment was posted to. I had to write to the CPFB and the State of VA comptroller. They government agencies responded in 7 to 10 days (amazing) and magically VECU refunded the $$$. Meredith Lochstampfor was main one. She was worthless.

I have been calling and leaving messages to ask someone to call me back for almost 2 months now. everytime I call I get transferred to a voicemail. I do not recommend this place. Your business isn't important enough to them to call you back to help you out. I live out of state and it is not possible for me to go in to talk to someone. I have asked when I call to be transferred to a person and not a voicemail. It is impossible to do business with a voicemail.

Worst experience that I have EVER had with a bank. I have been calling for over a month now trying to get a form faxed to me. I have left dozens of messages and not a single one has been returned. The one time someone did actually answer the phone they were short and rude with me but assured me that a supervisor would call me back the same day. Of course no one ever called me back. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS BANK.

THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY!!! My mom was used VAC for banking for over 20 years. When I left to college, she put me on all of her accounts in case something was to happen to her. This is a sad story because the poor treatment and customer service came directly after the passing of my mom. I currently live in Arizona and my mom lived in Virginia. In October, I received a call from my mother’s doctor informing me that mom was terminally ill and didn’t have much time left. I returned to VA to stay with mom while she was in hospice care. I stayed with her through the duration of her hospice care

Well, after waiting 2 months for my debit card to come in I called for a week until I got somebody to call me back at another time. They send out the new card which came one month later and I'm still waiting for the rest of my information so I can use the damn card . To top it all off the branch that I would use has been under renovation since the day after I joined. So I have been completely unable to access my account . And it's a hundred percent do to their incompetence

When Robin worked here, it was great. Ever since she left, it has been hell trying to reach someone to speak with. They never answer their calls. They tell you they'll send you something and never send it. They're downright the worst bank to work with. I still don't even know my account number because they will not give it to me. I am closing my account now.
