This is a must if you're in the Rockwall area. The food is incredible. I usually have my go to at any restaurant and I rarely try anything else. This restaurant is an exception. The crab dip is amazing, the flat bread is wonderful, pizza is incredible, and steak is ridiculous. Probably my favorite thing on the menu is the banana foster. You have to try it. I am a huge fan of Zanata.

Fantastic place for lunch! Although it was busy we were able to call ahead for a takeout order. The half meatball (4/5), Z salad (5/5), salmon (5/5), coconut pie (3/5) and crab dip (3/5) were good. Even with the 20 minute drive home food was still good when it arrived.
Parking was tight on a Friday afternoon. Restaurant was packed.
I do think their to go packaging needs some modifications. Things were spilling out their containers and the pie was placed on something hot so it can a little weird. But overall, highly recommended!

OMG best pork chop EVER!!! Chicken Alfredo was delicious! Rachel our server was so attentive and friendly! I can't believe we haven't tried this place before but I am so glad we have now. Zanata's has earned us as returning customers! We will be back on Tuesday night for their $30 salad, pizza and bottle of wine night!

The family and I went in a Sunday evening without a reservation. The restaurant was packed, but the wait was just 30 minutes. I ordered the Chilean sea bass dish and the caprese salad, both were delicious. Our server was attentive and polite. The space is a bit crowded in my opinion and the seats were uncomfortable.

A few things I try to keep in mind right now: Many restaurants are short-staffed, servers overworked/underpaid, and we're a few days before Christmas. So, I am aiming to give as much grace as possible for what is probably more of a "could've been better" experience.

Just stopped by to meet my wife and a friend for a appetizer kind of lunch. I was numb still from a dental appointment so all I could have is light apps. We came here all the time when we lived here. One of our favorite places. It's still a great place. Fire brick oven for pizzas etc. excellent apps and drinks. The chef is amazing they really do it right and have had it going on for several years now. Great menu items. Steaks, pasta pizzas. Because I just got here from the dentist I forgot to take pictures. But the apps taste as good as it looks. Keep up the great job we'll see you on

It is a wait to be seated restaurant, the 4 star review is due to an issue we had when we entered, not the food. The food was delicious. My husband had the pork chop, I had the salmon, and my daughter had the New York White pizza. It was not the typical Italian restaurant with mainly pasta options that we were origionally wanting, but the food was delicious and we were very happy with our decision with eating here tonight.

Came here because of all the glowing reviews. The food was okay, not the best. Definitely not worth the one hour+ wait. They don’t have a big menu, or give out any type of bread like other Italian restaurants do. Also, the waitress we had was sort of rude and looked like she didn’t want to be there. Won’t be back here again.

Based on lunch 11/18/21. I love this place, but today was disappointing. I had a cup of butternut squash soup & the chicken w veggies entree. Soup was excellent, entree was awful. First time EVER the food was bad. I told the waitress the chicken meat was awful & she asked if I wanted a to go box. Yes, for a literal doggie bag. Not the right response, if someone says the meat in the dish was awful.
Entree was 1 star, DON'T get the chicken w veggies.

Absolutely adored the pizza! I had the San jaciento pizza with pine nuts, figs, and a balsamic glaze. It was reasonably priced for an upsale dinner; nothing outrageously priced at all.
The dinning room was a little loud and stuffy, but to be fair it was a sunday. Wish there was outside tables to dine at with the amazing weather.
But overall food great and service was good. Will be returnong soon! ❤

Friends took us to Zanatas. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I soon found out that it is a terrific Italian restaurant.
My wife and I decided to split the strawberry salad. It was wonderfully delicious. Wish I had ordered the entire salad myself!
I opted for grilled salmon. Not exactly an Italian dish, but I had a taste for salmon. It was perfectly cooked and tasted great. My friend was raving about how wonderful the fettuccine alfredo was and let me sample it. It really did taste good! On my next visit I will order that dish!

When I tell you my cousin raves about the pork chops and lobster risotto, she needs to be a brand ambassador for this restaurant. I will say that it looked delicious. I got the Standard pizza because I'm basic but the pizza is nothing short of basic. It was flavorful. The atmosphere was bustling yet intimate. The hostess said at least fifty times to potential guests the long wait time. There is plenty of seating. Every dish brought out looked delicious. Rachel, our waiter, was delightful.

Food was delicious! BUT we waited 25 mins until someone will come and meet us and show our table. Place is crowded on lunch time and idk why they won’t get hostess. There were many people just waiting for someone to host even tho there were some empty tables. Atmosphere is also nice a little too loud but over all I would still come and recommend this place, just be ready to wait.

Zanata features an Italian Mediterranean fused menu. It's located in quaint, downtown Rockwall, TX. It was quite busy for an early Friday evening but well worth the wait. The portions of their fresh tasting and flavorful entrees were generous and reasonably priced. As a person known to pick restaurants based solely on the dessert menu, I was delighted by the flour less chocolate cake garnished with fresh strawberries. The vanilla gelato was a perfect accompaniment. The rustic Italian decor made the perfect ambience. I would definitely visit again!

Back for the third time.
As usual, the crap dip (all lavosh) was delicious. Lots of crab.
The sea bass was the hit of the table. Cooked well, nice sauce....just a big hit.
The mahi (which came off the specials board) was a huge letdown. The fish was bland and over cooked. It came with black rice, which was okay. The kale was way too salty. There was a small amount of sauce...and the dish could've used more because of the fish lacking flavor.
The lasagna was pretty good...I'd like more sauce, but the flavor was yummy. The bread with it was covered with minced garlic...no worry about
