I am a clinical psychologist specializing in the use of cognitive-behavioral, humanistic and existential approaches to treat patients with a range of medical and mental health challenges. I have a strong interest in acceptance and commitment therapy and other mindfulness-based interventions that help to heal the body and mind.

As a health psychologist, my goal is to help you to reduce stress, adjust to illness, develop better coping methods, and implement lifestyle changes in order to achieve a greater sense of stability and peace in the face of medical challenges. While we often have limitations in our ability to change our illness course, we can work together to better understand and reduce the emotional impact of illness or injury.
Grief is the emotional response to any type of loss. Perhaps of a loved one due to death or divorce, but also the loss of a job, a pet, financial stability, or safety after trauma. Feelings of grief can be overwhelming, and it can be hard to know how to manage and overcome these emotions. It is important to have patience with yourself and others during this process as it is a healthy part of healing.

I am a Medicare provider and am also able to assist you in billing out-of-network for PPO plans such as Optum, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Aetna, Pacificare and others.
