Michelle Scott was first certified to work as a massage therapist in 2000. She has studied massage and bodywork both stateside and abroad. Michelle has worked in many therapeutic environments including doctor's offices, therapy centers, resorts, and day spas. With a deep understanding and passion for bodywork, she has maintained a thriving private practice in Oakdale, Ca. since 2005.
Our 600 hour course includes classes in Anatomy & Physiology, Kinesiology, Pathology, Swedish massage, Aromatherapy, Deep tissue, Reflexology, Shiatsu, Prenatal massage, Craniosacral, Chair massage, Ethics, Business, Spa hospitality, and Self care. Once this course is completed, you will be fully prepared for a career in massage therapy.

I was referred to MBEC through a friend who is also a massage therapist. I was in-between two schools and decided to go with MBEC because they are CAMTC certified and a locally owned. Upon graduation, I immediately felt comfortable to start working as a Certified Massage Therapist. Michelle has since been a mentor and a knowledgeable professional in the massage and bodywork profession. Her goal is to set her students up for success, and so far, I have definitely been set up for success. I highly recommend this program for anyone looking to start a career in massage therapy and bodywork.

Massage & Bodywork Education Center was the foundation that prepared me for passing the MBLEX exam and acquiring CAMTC certification. This school is everything and more when it comes to choosing a certified massage therapy program. First and for most it is CAMTC approved school (which is what you need to work in major cities and to take your… MBLEX exam for the state), second the education is interactive (you don’t just read out of the text books), third Michelle (the owner) is knowledgeable with a passion for the massage business, education, marketing, a phone call away to ask questions/advice and so so much more. Invest your time and money and become apart of this program for your future and career!!

I have gotten a couple of massages by a couple of the therapists. They are always professional, thorough, friendly, and knowledgeable. I have a shoulder that has been preventing me from doing certain things at the gym. Michelle worked on it and a week later I was able to do pull ups again!!! Definitely will be going back🙂

Michelle is not only professional and thorough in her business, but she is also super personable in her teacher/student interactions. She has a genuinely caring heart and that shines through in her manner of teaching. She has all sorts of fun, creative ways to accommodate different learning styles and to ensure the fullest comprehension possible in each and every student.
