In 1971, to supplement his multiple gas station businesses, Guy Benitez bought his first mechanical tow truck. Always one to provide the best service possible, Guy soon found that he had developed a loyal customer base and demand for the towing services continued to grow. With the oil crunch and long gas lines of the 1970's, Guy made the bold move to sell his gas stations and concentrate his efforts on the towing business.
Getting stuck with a vehicle that won't run or is unsafe to drive is hard enough during the day time. But what about when it happens later? I have had to use this towing service twice in a month span of time. My Jeep broke down on the side of airline hwy. it was pouring down rain all over Baton Rouge and flooding parts. All the towing companies were busy. Finally I called this one. The lady said it would be about 2 hours. So I said okay. Sat in the car and waited. After 1.5 hours, the truck shows up. The driver was really nice and made me feel at ease. That's a big deal for a young girl alone too. He loaded my Jeep and got me home. No damage to the Jeep at all. 140 dollars for about 7 Miles. If I could rate this business 0 stars I would. I had my vehicle towed by Guy's towing and had my previously blemish free vehicle scratched by the tow truck company when it was delivered to the dealership for repair. Keep in mind, the same dealership took photos of damage from the tow truck as soon as the vehicle had gotten off the tow truck. I called the next day for a manager and for a week and a half, my messages for a call back from the manager were unanswered.
