As a concerned parent regarding my teen age boys academic successes, I find it disappointing that when I reach out to an eagle rock counselor and principal to inquire about failing grades for my teen age son, it's taking me - so far - two weeks to get my phone calls answered. I have even directed this concern to the parent point of contact person working at the lausd headquarters, Mr Ocampos he has yet to call me back much less assist. This morning I called lausd deputy superintendent to see if she can assist. It's disappointing and frustrating that lausd has teachers who care less

Every time I have a chance to work at ERHS, it brings back all the good times I had going to school. ERHS is one of the few schools that are still a junior/high school. The staff and teachers have always been great. It was a pleasure going to school here and now it's a pleasure working there.

Teachers are hit and miss here. Some teachers are really good like for example: Crowther, De Leon, Churchill, etc. There are teachers you do want to avoid like for example: Navailles, Ticzon, Etc. Bathrooms and Cafeteria areas are disgusting. The staff that I despise the most is the Attendance office! They take all their time and some of them give you the hardest time when it comes to excuses/absences. I also don't like dealing with the deans, they treat you like criminals. Lol. Despite the downside of this school, the school does have a really good Theater program and IB (HL) Program. Counselors

They have Open Volleyball there! Great way for me to keep fit! They are there on Tuesdays between, 8-10pm for $5.00. People there are friendly! Most players are Intermediate/Advance. There's 2 courts. The school has two gyms, you have to go to the bigger boys gym on the south side of the school. The entrance is off of Oak Grove Dr.

(for gym use only)
Boys Gym Pro's:
-bigger
-seating for 'fans'
-ample parking (lot + street)

Girls Gym Pro's:
-newer floors
-easy to access/find
-cleaner bathrooms (although that's hardly a compliment)

If you're looking to rent out for a league/team/whatever, go with the boys. Just be clear to your crowd of where to go & park (as in, the back!)
