At our funeral home, we understand the importance of family. We believe in treating your family as we would our own. To do that, it's best you know a little about us first - please explore this section so that you may learn about our caring staff, our beautiful facilities, and our history of service.
In 1941 Ivan Clark established a funeral home on Delaware Street in Walton. After only six years he outgrew that location and moved to 25 Townsend Street. To better serve local families, Mr. Clark expanded his facility by constructing two additions within ten years. He is still remembered as a kind and considerate man who believed in good service.
Staff members of Courtney Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Frank grew up in Schenectady, New York and graduated from Schenectady High School in 2003.

This section contains useful information about what to do when death occurs, frequently asked questions and our funeral merchandise selection. Family and friends getting together to honor a loved one's life is one of the most important steps in the grieving and healing process. You may opt to have a traditional religious or military service, or as more and more people are doing, you can choose to have a non-traditional 'life celebration'.

My dear Momma past away two weeks ago. Olive Malcolm Robertson. Cortney Funeral Home treated my Mom and her family with dignity and respect. I cannot say enough good things about this establishment. From the first meeting to plan her calling hours and funeral, to her absolutely beautiful appearance during the viewing, to the help in taking her mementos home with us. Top notch from start to finish. Thank you Cortney Funeral Home.

I have never in my life seen what they did. They should be ashamed of themselves and the girl that’s was there working today, you should be glade my brother was there. I have lost a lot of people in my lifetime. And never witnessed anything like it. Shame on you, they should close them down. The way you laid my sister out, I don’t even have words for it. What is wrong with you people.
