In the early 60's a father and son barbering duo by the names Roy and Jim Thompson broke ground at 2525 Ohio St. Michigan City, IN. Soon thereafter it would become known as Thompson's Barbershop. The Thompson men would continue to provide barbering service to the Michigan City area for decades. In the late nineties Jim's daughter would continue the family legacy.

In 2014 she would turn the lights off and lock the door one last time as she was forced to retire due to illness. In 2015 things would drastically change and Thompson's would be bought out by Zentress Salon, yet a legacy not to be forgotten. Bobbi Piecuch has spent more than twenty years in exploration of multiple fields within the beauty/barbering industry.

Bobbi is one the best hair stylists I've ever had. Ive been going to this business for over 3 years now and I've never been disappointed.
Update: Still going in after 5 years. Always a great time.

I try to make an appointment over the phone and they don't even answer, I left a message for them to call me back and they didn't. I think they have a lot of clients and they don't want any more.

This place brings back the happy days of the 50's, when smiles were genuine and sincerity runs rampid. A place where one can truly establish her rite of passage as a a woman and bring out the Queen inside. A place where men can be treated as Kings, and community comes together in small gatherings at a time. Best place to refresh your inner beauty or manly qualities with artistic cosmotology by three lovely ladies!!

Angie is the best! Appointment recommend but time and attention are definitely given. My mom has followed her to her new place because she gives the best attention and hair cut she has been able to find for her thick difficult hair.

I've been to nearly every barber shop and, salon in Michigan city and I couldn't get my hair cut the way I liked, that looked good. Till I came to Thompsons meets Zentress. Now I have a place where I can get a great haircut for a decent price, and with great relaxing atmosphere.

So my wife and I were vacationing in Michigan City, and I wanted to look a bit more cleaned up for beach photos. This place is an absolute gem. Clean, friendly staff (Kristen was my stylist), and I received a great haircut. Can't recommend this place enough!

Bobbi is an excellent stylist. I love the color and highlights. Great products! The shop is clean and energetic. Definitely going back. You can't go wrong with any of the stylists.
