I have been banking with this credit union for 10 years. At first, they were great. I’m not sure what has happened recently but they have the absolute worst customer service now. You wait on hold over 30 minutes to speak with someone. They never return emails or phone calls. I could not get a straight answer from the people I speak with. They also will sell you insurance’s and warranties without letting you know upfront they are non-refundable. Now I have to miss out on hundreds of dollars because their staff does not seem to know what they are doing. Horrible business and customer service

I've had an account with this bank since I was about 15 years old. 30 years! They have good customer service, look out for their member/ owners. And just instated a policy of no overdraft fees, what bank does that! Pretty great. Only thing I'd say is that over the years it's gotten harder to reach a customer service person on the phone, often have to wait like 30 min.

I think this bank is top of class for a local bank. I also own chase but notice more fees and less ability in Albuquerque to get fast help. Being a customer over 20+ years I’ve had great service and noticed they have tried to upgrade their remote banking and iPhone app and also have an abundant of convenient ATM locations. I give 5 stars .

I actually tried and would have preferred to go through US Eagle. I have a checking account with them and have had a car loan with them in in the past. I logged onto to their website and filled out the Auto Loan application. It said they would get back to me within 24-48 hours.
In a week where my paid off car was totaled, I'm dealing with injuries and only having a paid rental from my insurance for one week, I needed to move fast to purchase another

I applied to refinance my car loan here, would have been a new membership. But apparently they are not in the market for new business because I never heard back from them. They called me once to find out the vin number and then never again. They never called to say I was approved I know I was because I have good credit otherwise I would have recieved an adverse action explaining denial in the mail. Don't bother with US Eagle if you expect competent people that are capable of following up. Would recommend a different FCU there are a lot of other options with better rates. I've been a customer for about 7 years now. Over the years, US Eagle has been consistent about one thing - atrocious customer service. Phone agents are often untrained, unhelpful and sometimes rude. They rarely follow through on anything without at least a second or third phone call. Their technology is behind the times and, throughout all my interactions, its clear they don't value their customers.

Recently I refinanced my home and the experience left me wondering why I bank here. First they sold my loan to another bank and I found this out at closing through the Title company. Thirty days later I am still trying to get information about where my first payment should go and I get treated like its my fault by Denise in there mortage department. When all I'm trying to do is be responsible and pay my loan. I'm running from this credit union. There's plenty of other places to bank in New Mexico please do your homework and bank were they treat you like a person not a number.

There is not customer service - there is customer abuse. Phone wait times are extreme. I you need a balance on an account be prepared to provide too much information. They don't ask what you want before they start asking for information - it is intrusive and not needed - it is not for my protection if I only want simple information. I went in to cash an old traveler's check - they didn't know what it was and wasted 30 minutes while the staff was trying figure out what it was!

*EDITED: They will cash your checks and secure your money for you, but even with a long standing relationship and perfect payment record, they will not approve loans that other institutions will. So...they get what they need from you (money in the bank), but won't provide it to you as a customer (as a loan), a bit one sided. Today I was working on buying a new truck and am getting a loan through US Eagle which has been my credit union ever since I can remember. I've always been treated with the highest respect and have only good things to say about this credit union. Today stuck out though due to Matthew Williams. Super disappointed with the underwriters at this location. I'm sure everyone says this, but I have fantastic credit and low debt to boot. I already had an auto loan through this CU so when we were getting my wife her car I thought it a no brained to go through US Eagle.
The loan was denied. When we went in to inquire and got the underwriter on the phone, it was obvious that she hadn't even reviewed the application or credit report as the reasons she listed for the denial were absolutely incorrect. I would NOT recommend this place if you are looking for a bank that you might need help from in a time of need. They used to be great at looking at your credit as a whole, and even though there might have been some hiccups, they were willing to work with me, which was greatly appreciated. I hear they do their own underwriting at this credit union. How are you I feel I get better service at Wells Fargo overall. I plan on getting a credit card through here at some point hopefully you had a better rate though. I think you are single is the best option here in Albuquerque as far as credit unions go. Although they have a long way to go to hit that fourth star
