DON’T BANK HERE!! Terrible customer service from a woman named “Tammy” if that was her name. The bank decided to close my primary account the day our stimulus checks are being sent out. Upon logging into my bank app my checking account was GONE!? Called in to get more info and was met with discrimination of those with low income, treating me like it’s my fault because the bank tried to cover a $10 transaction that was autopay - it turned into $60 of fees. Despite being unemployed due to the COVID-19 crisis - it was my fault for “trying to use the card” even though I was unaware of the

CAR LOANS HERE ARE TERRIBLE!
This place is a bank not a credit union. They’re pray on military members and later on won’t even consider your history with them. I was turned down for a loan here several times and just needed to get out from being so upside down on my vehicle. I was at the point where I really thought I was going to have to surrender my vehicle but thanks to Rio Grande CU I didn’t have to! Go there instead!

John Coch at the Kirtland BX branch was helpful in guiding me in applying for a credit card. He was patient, answered my questions and made my visit an experience I will not forget. A couple days later, I received a letter thanking me for coming in to see him, and that if I ever needed help, to keep KFCU in mind.

First I would like to say that I am happy and very much satisfied with the efforts of Nathan in helping me refinance my car and thankful for Kirtland as a whole. Nathan and I had been communicating via telephone only for a few weeks before I actually went in to finalize everything in person. When I finally went into the facility I was attended to quickly by the very nice lady at the front counter. I only waited for a short time until meeting Nathan. Facility was very clean and neat. All of the staff members seemed pleasant and you could feel that personal connection they had with their customers

I thought when opening this account, good things were going to happen. But no there's no special perks for thier customer. If anything they don't believe in or trust the people that bank with them unless they at active duty or rich. I applied for a credit card having good credit and making 1380 every two weeks direct deposit to my checking and was stil considered a risk. I applied for a personal loan years later and still nothing.
I applied for a credit card with the very first bank I opened and was approved. Account is still in good standing.

It is an ok banking center except they do things that make you feel less valued. For instance I want to cash in my change, well they offer the service for free if you are in uniform or a child. Everyone else they charge a fee. I currently have my mortgage through them but they bother me so much with this that I will not use them in any future loans or auto finances.
