Services
Thank you for visiting the website of Main Street Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, the office of Dr. Margaret Santiago. We believe every child deserves to have a beautiful smile! Helping infants, young children and adolescents achieve optimum oral health is our passion. We are conveniently located in Downtown Pleasanton, at 55 West Angela Street.
Our doctors believe that every child should have the best dental experience in a comfortable and caring environment. They understand how to ease a child's anxiety during a dental visit with their caring demeanor and warm smiles.

They are dedicated to providing the best quality oral health care to children and understand the importance of educating children and parents about the best ways to take care of teeth and gums to ensure optimal dental health. All being mothers themselves, they strive to treat each child as they would their own family.
Main Street Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics works very hard to become a part of the Pleasanton Community. Main Street Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics will be participating in Downtown Pleasanton's First Wednesday street fair! Stop on by our tent for some fun face painting or a balloon. We participate in elementary and preschool toothfairy visits to teach children about oral health.
Along with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, we recommend that a child's first dental visit be scheduled by his/her 1st birthday. It is very important to make the first visit as positive and enjoyable for the child as possible. We want your child to enjoy getting to know our doctors and staff and be comfortable at all times.
Ice can be applied to any bruised areas. For bleeding, apply firm (but gentle) pressure with sterile gauze or a clean cloth. If the bleeding does not stop with pressure or continues after 15 minutes, go to an emergency room. Recover the tooth, making sure to hold it by the crown (top) and not the root end.

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience! Dr. Santiago and her assistant Kiria (not sure on the spelling!) were so kind and patient. My daughter has autism and they made sure to make her feel comfortable and did everything at her pace. They talked me through everything they were doing and the overall ambiance was calm and welcoming. I was very nervous bringing her in Incase she was fussy, but they handled everything so well and with kindness. Very thankful !

We've been going to this dentist since my 5 year old was 1. Both sons (5 and 2) love going to the dentist because of them! They have cartoons playing in the ceiling, cool sunglasses for the kids to wear, and use words the kids can understand and about healthy gums and teeth. They're awesome!

I can’t say enough about this dental office and the orthodontist. My daughter had some trauma from being in the hospital and was fearful of any procedures. Other dentists wanted to put her to sleep for her care or refused to treat her. This office went above and beyond for her. The way they handled her fear was professional and compassionate. They helped her overcome her negative perception of doctors. The kindness we received was beyond what I have experienced with any other medical or dental practice. My daughter is proud of her smile and has actually looked forward to her visits. I live out

Brought my son in for his first official dental exam and cleaning. Even though I prepped him the night before and he was so excited, right when we got there he was so scared. Ana, Mariana and Christina helped make the process so much easier by taking baby steps with him. He ended up LOVING his experience and even tried taking X-rays! I couldn’t have asked for a better first visit for my baby boy. He wasn’t rushed and they made me feel very comfortable as well. Here he is, legs crossed, and chillin like a villain 😝

This place is really nice and welcoming. All the staff are friendly and ready to help. However, last time I went in there was a lady doing my son's teeth Xray pictures, short and black hair, who was annoying because she was just being in our face talking to us and way too personal.

After a bad experience at another pediatric dentist, we had put off going to the dentist for several years. My wife chose Main Street Pediatric Dentistry based on their reviews. GREAT CHOICE! The office is super kid friendly, even with COVID-19 protocols in place, which they follow religiously. Air filters in all their rooms, wiping down everything thoroughly and constantly between use. The hygienist, Jackie, was awesome, explaining everything to my daughter and getting her excited about it in the process. Dr. Amy took her time with my daughter, reviewing directly with her everything she was finding

It was my toddler sons first time ever going to the dentist, and we had a wonderful experience. Everyone was extremely friendly and understanding of my sons needs. The office was clean and welcoming. The beach decor was fun and got my sons attention. We felt very comfortable there. Can't wait to take him back in 6 months for his check up.

The nurse practitioner Marianna was awesome and very friendly and patient . They always make u feel so comfortable espl kids and they reward them with little goodies for doing good which makes it easier for parents to bring the kids for treatment :)
Just felt a little rushed with the doctor and she could have done a better job at explaining the issues rather than using just technical terms which some parents may not be aware of . It felt like my ques were not very encouraged and if she was in a rush . I prefer a doctor who would encourage ques and doesn’t make parents feel rushed . Hopefully

Marianna is the best. She is very experienced and knowledgeable. She was very gentle, kind and patient with our daughter. She made our daughter’s first time at the dentist very fun and stress free. Our daughter said she is not scared of going to the dentist anymore after her visit to Main Street Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Leslie is also amazing. She addressed all of our concerns and took the time to answer our questions. We definitely recommend taking your kids here.

Everyone one in the office was super friendly and kind. My son was really nervous before going in, but they made him feel safe. When he was scared they didn't push him and felt that it was important he had a positive dental experience. They let the kids watch a movie while their teeth are getting cleaned m, give them stickers, explain the procedures and let them have a balloon and prize at the end. I was pleased with our experience and would highly recommend. I mostly appreciate their patience and understanding of a nervous 3 year old!

Dental visits can be scary for kids, but not here in Main Street Pediatric. Blanca, Mariana, Dr Margaret and Dr Leslie, and everyone here makes my kid's visit enjoyable for him and for me, too. They handle my child really well, ensuring that he's relaxed, informed, and aware of what's going to happen during the visit. This way, he doesn't panic or doesn't get scared. They also make sure to find ways to make the entire experience fun for him (eg letting him watch movies during procedures, talking to him like a friend, having him choose his preferred flavor of toothpaste

Just came back from the clinic for the first visit. This is how your pediatric dental team should be! Big shout out to Ms Marianna and Dr Amy but everyone was super nice and sweet! They all came to say hi to both of us with a big smile regardless. Besides giving my child nonstop compliments, they offered detailed explanations and information which I did not receive from my regular dentist.

I was unsure about the parking because of the downtown location, but it was much easier than I thought. Their clinic has a beach theme - just as cool as it looks on their website. They took my child to pick

It is a great Pediatric office. They are very professional and very nice as well.

Everyone in the office makes you feel welcomed. The great thing about this place is that they know how to work with children. They ease them into procedures and have entertainment to keep them occupied.

Very happy with everyone here! Hopefully we will only be returning for routine check ups and not anything else, haha.

I have nothing good to say about this place. From the lack of communication to the prices. My kids never felt at ease and neither did I. I wish I never returned. I literally picked up my child and walked out because I had enough and did not trust them. Instead, I want to highly recommend Kids Care Ortho and Dentistry on Hopyard. It was a Night and Day difference on how they communicate and treat you. My kids are actually looking forward to their next checkup.

I would never recommend Main Street. I am completely loyal to our Dentist of over 30 years but he retired. I had to find a new place and

Went here for second opinion for painful tooth and left feeling that recommendations weren't right for my child. I was told my child has many many cavities and to fix the tooth " baby root canal" procedure was needed with sedation and then crown. And oh yes, the famous " should floss more often and don't eat candy" thing.. it felt that they were "selling" more procedures than my child needed. At the end, my child was seen elsewhere and didn't needed root canal and a crown, didn't needed sedation but talented professional who can work with kids

This was my original choice in dentist for my 3 year old, and I could kick myself for not originally just going.
We came in for a second opinion and I'm glad we did.
Not only is the staff friendly and great with her, but they are knowledgeable about everything that goes on in the office.
Dr. Leslie is amazing with my daughter as well and I can tell this isn't an office that wants to just do work because they think they can get away with it.

I barely leave review. But I have to do this one. I am so happy to find this place for my 7 month twins.
All the nurses and dentists there are extremely friendly and helpful. They really know how to handle little ones effectively.
I so worried my little daughter may cry on her first dentistry checkup. But she likes everyone there so much and kept on laughing during the whole checking.
I highly recommend this place to every parent.

My 3 year old daughter went to a dentist prior to Main Street and had the worse experience. I was fortunate to have found such an amazing place. The office is warm and welcoming. Most importantly the staff was amazing and patient with her and made her experience a good one. Every time she goes back she is so excited and has no fear what so ever. That's what is important to any parent.
I've been recommending to all of my friends to go to Main Street dental.

Took our daughter in for her first dentist appointment and couldn't be more pleased! Dr. Amy was fantastic the front office was so welcoming. Dr. Amy's assistant was great as well.

The waiting room is darling with great toys for the kiddos to play with! There was clearly a lot of thought put into this waiting room and playroom.

It takes a special practice for a one-year-old not to cry during her entire dental visit. I highly recommend this practice.

Phenomenal dentist...I seriously could not ask for a better dental office for my little.

After a few frustrating go a rounds with some other dental offices, we finally found THE ONE. The whole entire staff, and I mean the ENTIRE staff is wonderful. Dr. Amy Brandon, my daughters dentist, is the kindest, most patient lady EVER. I wish she could be my dentist. (No offense, Dr. Hoang, I still love u too!)

Most recently we spent most of the day there due to dental surgery that Maddy needed. The whole staff and office was so sweet and accommodating. Since the office was pretty much ours for
