We are a state of the art dental office led by Dr. Cynthia Young, who also teaches part-time as a Assistant Professor at UCSF Dental School.

Dr. Cynthia Young is a top graduate of the renowned Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC and has been practicing dentistry for over 5 years.

We care about helping you get the treatment that you need and we will work with you to fit your budget. Above is just a sample list of PPO Dental Plans available, other insurances may not be listed.
Your safety and the safety of our doctors and staff are our top priority, which is why we do our best and bring the latest equipment and technology to ensure your health. Besides having the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which include N95 masks, surgical masks, face shields, gowns, hair and shoe covers, we sterilize the room after each patient with extreme attention to detail.

Dr. Young is probably one of the best dentists that you will ever meet. She is professional, super knowledgeable, and has great bedside manner. She explains your treatment plan very well and takes her time to make you feel comfortable and answers all your questions. She gives you options in terms of treatment. She tells you what is necessary and what might not be so necessary and works with you. She and her staff are super friendly. If you are looking for a dentist, you will be in great care with Dr. Young and her staff. I highly recommend!

If I could give this place and Dr. Young and all of her staff more than 5 stars I would!! I have had a crippling fear of the dentist for many years that stopped me from going to appointments for many years (8+) and she welcomed me with no judgement and complete understanding of my situation. She let me know exactly what was needed and explained step by step what she was doing when she was working on me. I also took my 8yr old and 5yr old and she was AMAZING with them. They were anxious about going and she made them so comfortable and they had absolutely no fear. I am truly grateful to have found

Dr. Young is easily the BEST dentist I have EVER been too. I came in originally because I thought my wisdom tooth was infected (the tooth wasn't but still extremely painful). I told Dr. Young from the beginning that I'm terrified of the dentist and she put me at ease and talked me through my entire procedure. I ended up needing my wisdom tooth extracted (which always sucks). My husband and I have made her our primary dentist (we've been searching since we moved) and absolutely love her and her staff!

First of all, when was the last time you went to your dentist during the weekday at 6:45pm for your scheduled appointment? Probably NEVER. But with Dr Young, she has pretty late appointments and that works great with me since I don't need to take any time off to go during the weekdays or plan out in advance for a weekend appt. It was pretty easy to schedule the appt on the phone and they have a new patient intake form that you fill out online in the convenience of your own home! So I did that beforehand.

Dr. Cynthia Young is a pro. She takes the time to get to know her patients and explains the different options to them. She has great hours which helps if you are a busy person and only can do nights.
Sometimes her answer is lets watch this tooth and you never feel pushed to get any unnecessary dental work. As someone who is not a fan of the dentist (let's face it, who is), both she and her team do a good job making you feel relaxed and welcome as the poke around your mouth.
I would recommend her in a heartbeat as she is solidly the best dentist I have been to in the bay area in my 20+ years

I wanted a dentist closer to my home in Pleasanton (previous dentist was in Fremont), and the great Yelp reviews pointed us to Sustainable Smiles. Dr. Young is outstanding. She explains everything clearly and has a very warm & friendly personality. Lisa, Dr. Young's assistant, also was excellent.

Dr. Johnson was a lifesaver! I was having a serious issue causing a lot of pain and Dr. Johnson was able to see me on a Sunday to work on the issue. I've been back a few times since and have been incredibly impressed by the team's knowledge and professionalism. The office itself is like a day spa. Very soothing with chill music and visually appealing.

Dr. young sensed my anxiety so she broke everything down for me slowly and took her time to go through X-rays with me. She was super gentle and continually made sure that I was OK.
My boyfriend took his 7 year old son here too and she's great with kids.
I'm never going anywhere else!

So impressed for our first visit. The website questions prior to the appointment are relevant and thorough and really pre-empt the first visit. The staff scheduling the appointment over the pone are pleasant and listen to your specific needs. Appointments start after 6.30pm which is just spot on for any working family.
THÉ actual appointment was great even though our 8 years old girl was quite nervous bout it. Dr. Young has exceptional bed side manners so has her assistant.

Dr. Young was just about the nicest person I've ever met and you could tell that she really knew her stuff! She is so knowledgeable in her field and does wonderful work and it is clear she cares about her patients. Dr. Young is amazing! She has made my smile look better than it has in years! I have had a front tooth that was almost broken in half since I was in grade school. I've had it corrected several times in my life and have all failed. Cynthi Young is so very kind and professional. She always seems to understand every issue and always seems to put me at… ease, as are all of the receptionists. They always seem to go above and beyond. Dr. Young is incredibly passionate about dentistry! It's amazing. I'm so glad I bumped into her at the grocery store and asked her how she was choosing watermelons. We got to talking, and she mentioned she just opened her practice. I needed an exam so I ended up going yesterday and Can I say WOWZA (both her new practice, and dare I say... her) Her touch was gentle, and my teeth have never felt better. She even redid a tooth that was bothering me from another dentist's work, and now it feels great! I highly recommend!

I visited professor (UCSF dental school) Young’s dental office yesterday. Dr. Young is not only knowledgeable but also very skillful. I was very pleased with the great experience. I really felt like they were being thorough in gathering all the information they could about my oral health. X-ray was taken right on the chair and displayed the… picture on a big flat screen TV on the wall. It was really cool to actually see my teeth and understand what Dr. Young was explaining to me.
