Employees of Ethyl Corporation established the Ethyl Corporation Credit Union in the late 1930's. Membership was extended to other employee groups in 1981, and by 1996 more than 350 Select Employee Groups (SEGs) joined. The credit union changed its name to Louisiana USA Federal Credit Union to reflect this newly found diversity.

At one time it was a great credit union. Now it’s all new faces and the service is poor. One person may tell you one thing and later you get something different from another. Very inconsistent! I hate having all my loans here now because I hate the relationship. Small credit unions are supposed to know their long term clients by name. I hate it and would never recommend any one else here!
