The Farley Center at Williamsburg Place is a Virginia drug and alcohol addiction treatment center located near Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. We are known as a center of excellence offering quality, affordable addiction treatment. We are a place where people come to get well and where families find hope and a solution that works. The Farley Center is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia through the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and is accredited by the Joint Commission through the Behavioral Health Care Accreditation Program.
Services
At The Farley Center at Williamsburg Place, we strongly believe in the importance of our alumni staying connected with the center after discharge. We consider this important on a number of levels. The alumni program provides fellowship for alumni and acts as a bridge for newly discharged clients who are returning home and working to establish a productive and fulfilling life in recovery.
The referral source is considered an important link to a patient's recovery and-when appropriate-will be considered part of the treatment team. As long as releases are signed, we will notify the referrer once the patient arrives. We will maintain communication with the referral source while the patient is in treatment on a weekly basis, either by faxed note or phone call.
Today's public and political climate has raised everyone's awareness of the need for privacy and confidentiality in the area of healthcare. There are laws, regulations, guidelines for licensure, and accreditations that mandate all individuals seeking help be protected. The issue of confidentiality is particularly important when talking about addiction.
The Farley Center at Williamsburg Place understands that just as no two addicted people are alike, no one treatment will cure all. We treat people from all walks of life, people who fell into the darkness of addiction in different ways. While all our patients have the same goal-recovery- they are able to achieve it through various types of care.
Medical withdrawal, typically referred to as "detoxification" or "detox, " is a comprehensive, medically managed approach used to transition a patient from physical dependence to abstinence. As alcohol and drugs differ in their effects; so too does the withdrawal from these substances.

Farley Center recognizes the need for a safe and comfortable withdrawal process by providing a physician-driven, medically monitored detoxification that includes an interdisciplinary staff of physicians, nurses, and counselors. Our team is trained in a variety of protocols that allows for a customized detoxification based on dependance and medical history.

This place has one goal and it is to take as much as money as possible. I had to put my husband there and they were extremely untruthful about money. They refuse to accept the power of attorney I have for my husband - Nurse Ratched barked "NO" when I asked if I could I please go get the paperwork from the car showing my medical power of attorney. They went behind my back and had him sign away $3,000 of our money and now won't call me back. The admissions people lie about what insurance covers and then they wait until your spouse arrives drunk and get them to sign away everything even when they

They’re the worst at giving you the runaround, one minute a bed is available and not the next. Very rude and unprofessional! Could never get a decisive answer on anything. And this is what are options are for receiving help. SAD!!

The health care at this facility is garbage, I had to wait a week for them to set me an appointment at urgent care, and first time I went they FORGOT to set an appointment making me wait 3 more days. The nurses constantly would argue with me about the proper dose if my medication trying to give me 150mg instead of my perscribed 300mg. Then i went back to the hospital and got perscribed antibiotics. I have not seen or taken a single one since, and when i question the nurses they say “we will get on it” and NEVER DO ANYTHING! And when i felt too sick to go to class due to their horrible health

I absolutely loved my experience at the Farley Center. The counselors and peer recovery specialists really care about the men and women who are there to get sober and stay sober. They invest a good amount of time to get you in the direction that you need to go in. I loved my small group, the AA/NA blocks and all the education segments that I received. I got so much from listening to my peers stories of their struggles with drugs and alcohol. It was amazing and empowering to see that I wasn’t alone in my struggles with the bottle. The bottom line is that there isn’t a button to push that will

I was not a patient here, but my significant other was directed here by an attorney (which should be enough said right there), but this place lacks organization and communication. In 10 days, they moved him around 3 times; he didn't need to detox but one day but didn't want to move him as was told they didn't want to have to clean another room if he wasn't staying an entire month (which he could not due to work restrictions).
He had to keep the staff on their toes about his treatment plan and had to instruct counselors on next steps. During group meetings, they favored 2-3 patients instead of

I do NOT recommend this facility at all. In my opinion they need a lot of work improving in all areas. I have a son who went there for his treatment. From the rudeness of the staff answering the phones, down to the counseling not given in depth. He was discharged before he was ready, even though his bill was covered in full. No communication between patient and family leaves a lot to be desired. I suggest you look at other places in depth before considering this facility.

I came to Farley not knowing what to expect and frankly not excited to be there or with it being a 12 step program. By being honest, open, and willing to give it a shot, it was extremely beneficial to me. There were rules and other things that weren't my favorite while I was there but they are there to help you get better. If you focus on getting better while you are there, it can help you immensely.
Update: As an update to my review, I have had extreme difficulty with getting a proper bill sent to me. I have called several times and emailed as well. I found the insurance challenging while I was
