Miller Street Dance Academy was founded in 1994 with the aim of providing quality, tasteful dance instruction in a positive environment. Our goal is to cultivate young dancers into well-rounded individuals, who have not only an appreciation for dance, but who reach for high achievement in academics and community service as well.
We feel that a mixture of strong dance technique, good grades and service to our community will build a well rounded, engaged child with a good sense of self-esteem. We realize that while a small percentage of our students will make dance their career, all will become citizens of our society. We believe it's important to recognize the scholastic achievement of our dancing students.
Combo classes will perform both tap and ballet numbers in the recital but will have only one costume. The exception is the 2.5-3.5 combo which will perform only a ballet number. Students enrolled in multiple levels of ballet classes may have more than one recital costume. Therefore, more than one costume fee may be applied to the account.
We have been a leader in dance education for over twenty five years. Our highly successful competition team members have won top awards throughout the region and across the nation!

Ages 3-8 Dance camps are four days long - Monday through Thursday from 9am - 12:30pm -and include a variety of activities. A little bit of everything and a whole lot of fun! Campers will be divided by age for various activities. The first day of camp the children will be put into groups as they arrive.

My daughter has been doing the tap / ballet combo for three years at Miller Street in Baxter. She just started acro. She loves it and is always excited to go to class. The teachers and staff have been AMAZING! It is high energy and hands on. Communication is great. Choreography, costumes and music have always been beautiful. I highly recommend Miller Street.

Shae has been wonderful to work with if we needed any additional information and each of my daughter’s dance instructors have been very sweet and professional. We love MSDA!

MSDA has been our dancer's home for over 6 years now. she has danced since age 2, but it has been at this studio where she has truly flourished and we feel like it is a family here. The staff and teachers are so amazing and with all of the pandemic stuff going on it has been quite impressive how they were able to keep our kids dancing. We Love MSDA and plan on staying until she graduates high school. It has been a fantastic experience over all. So grateful to Miss Michelle and everyone at both studios!

My 5 yr old daughter has been attending for 2 years and LOVES her dance classes! The teachers have all been so wonderful and she looks forward to seeing them each week. We attend classes at Providence and Baxter and both are equally as great! All of the teachers have been so encouraging, welcoming and provide such a warm and positive place for my daughter. She takes 5 classes in total and would love to take more, if only we had more time. The communication is regular and very thorough which really helps this busy mama. This is a great place for little ones to feel encouraged and grow in a community

After having both my girls at Miller Street for years, I have finally hit my breaking point. This past year, we had an incident where one of the teachers forced my daughter into a split. She was crying and very upset. We received a call from the teacher with an apology.
When covid hit, they started virtual classes and charged us for the classes. I understood the attempt to try to keep dancers however, they didn't provide parents with an option to opt out during a very difficult time. We decided it was not working for us and asked for a refund for the class and to not be charged further.

Kids enjoy learning dances and making new friends under the guidance and expertise of their teachers. Recital performance is a fun confidence builder and reward after consistent practice throughout the year. Excellent communication from office manager and owner. Ms. Shae is a gem! Kids appreciate music more, improve their math skills learning timing, and grow through instruction. Thank you, Miller Street Dance Academy.

My daughter has been dancing here for almost 4 years; we will probably be sending her younger sister when she’s of age as well. Right now we drive all the way from Lake Wylie but it’s well worth it! For the monthly tuition, the lessons and end of year recital are of phenomenal quality. My dancer has plenty of 1 on 1 attention in class and improves a ton every year.

I have been dancing here ever since I was five and I still love it to this day. I’m so very delighted that my mom told me, “You need to do an after school activity since you’re starting kindergarten.”. It was a miracle my mom found out about this place. They offer so many great classes. The teachers and staff are so friendly and helpful. Keep up the great work!
