My daughter is a young teen who began dancing in middle school. She tried out several studios in Rock Hill before settling on Palmetto Dance. She has really loved the fun, encouraging sprit of her instructors and other dancers. Even though she is older, she has been a recreational dancer.
At other studios there was a much stronger division in investment and attitude between the recreational and company dancers but at Palmetto Dance all of the dancers and instructors have been welcoming and encouraging.They have a great spirit-work hard, have fun, be kind! Our daughter really enjoys lyrical dance.

Services
Basic ballet and tap steps. In this class we will work on beginning technique and choreography for the spring recital. Beginning 8 & up- Intermediate. Dancers in this class will work on hip hop technique and choreography for the spring recital. Clogging is a type of folk dance in which the dancer's footwear is used percussively by striking the heel, the toe, or both against a floor to create audible rhythms.

Palmetto is a amazing dance studio that encourages their students and pushes them to the max. The teachers there are super friendly and willing to help there students with anything they wish. All the parents, teachers, and students cheer their teammates on and encourages their teamates and helps with anything. I definitely recommend Palmetto Dance Productions to kids who likes to dance and use creativity in there dances. I never want to leave. I like goats 🐐

We joined PDP 3 years ago and my girls have grown drastically in that time! They are consistently encouraged and empowered by the instructors and staff! We have become a dance family and love every moment of it! If you are looking for a growing studio that can foster your children’s talents, look no further! We love PDP!

The owners do not live in the Rock Hill area anymore and have lost touch with the clientele. The owners have poor communication with both parents and the teachers and then blame others for any and all issues. The current teachers work extremely hard to provide the kids with technical skills and routines; which the owners change on the occasional weekend they decided to come to town.

Palmetto Dance has been such a great experience for our girl. The recreational classes were the perfect choice for her introduction to dance. Her self confidence has soared with the support and encouragement of her teachers. We’re looking forward to our second recital in May and a continuation of such a positive dance experience.

We are halfway into our 5th year at Palmetto Dance Productions. My daughter who is 8 did two years or recreation classes and is now in her 3rd year of Competitive Dance. Now my son who is 10 also dances competitively. Both of my children are very shy..we could barely get my daughter on stage at first but her teachers at Palmetto really helped her out of her shell! Now she cannot get enough of the stage!! So is my son. In the few short months he has been taking dance class he has really blossomed as a dancer thanks to the skill and time the teachers put into instruction. The thing we love the most

We came for a look last year in April to see what the company was like and my shy 7 year old could not wait for the fall recreational lessons to start.
From her first lesson she was all smiles as not only the instructors helped teach her to stretch and the proper technique but even her class mates helped out as well.
A month later she wanted to dance even more so I signed her up for the competition classes and she
has since blossomed into an outgoing young lady who can’t wait to get out onto the stage with the friends she has made here.
All the dancers interact well together and help each

My girls have been dancing for PDP for 5 years, one since she was 2 years old and the other since she was 5, and they have grown so much as dancers. My 7 year old, when she was 5, cried every time she went to step on stage. However, just within two years, she has gained so much confidence that she is now dancing an acro jazz duet in competition and begging to have a solo. My 8 year old danced her first jazz competition solo last year and was very successful! In comparison to other studios in the area, PDP teachers care about their dancers; they push them to their greatest and the studio truly is

Two years ago I gave my niece dance lessons to Palmetto Dance for her Christmas gift. After bringing her to the first class, she was in love with dance. The teachers, assistants, and owner were so welcoming and patient while introducing her to the world of dance. My niece began her first year at age 5 taking tap, ballet, and jazz. At first she was a little shy, but with the encouragement and support of the amazingly dedicated teachers, she has become quite the little star. She is now in her second year at Palmetto Dance! She is still taking ballet, tap, and jazz, but now also is taking hip hop
