Owner, Michael, has been in the moving business since the 1980s. Between being in delivery service, commercial / office, household moving, working on small and large van lines and piano moving industries. He had gathered the techniques and experience to make an excellent Mover. In the late 1980 s he ventured off on his own to form a moving company that can do it all.
As the industry trends changed, so did the business, and with the housing boom in the late 90s, he had focused on household and office moving, from Maine to Florida. In the early 1990s he had brought his youngest brother, Patrick, into the business, with moving both houses and Pianos. Patrick, in his teenage years, learned the techniques and extras to be a piano mover.

Services
Here at MMS we fully understand the stress and anxiety that comes with moving your piano, especially when you have and item as valuable as a piano. Providing our customers with outstanding customer service is among our top priorities. We promise to do everything in our power to make sure you feel comfortable on moving day.
We specialize in piano relocation! We can professionally move the piano to a new location in your home or business. We can also temporarily relocate the piano in the event of a construction job or any other situations. Many customers, after seeing us move their pianos, have asked us to move the rest of their possessions, which we can gladly accommodate.
We are a full-service moving company with many years of experience in both residential and commercial moving services. Serving the tri-state area as well as up and down the east coast or across the country, we are capable of any size move. Take some of thestress out of your move as well as ensure the safety of your valuables by letting us professionally pack and unpack your goods with the proper packing equipment.
We have the proper equipment to move your piano safely such as padded mats, dollies, hardwood carry boards, ramps, etc. Our fleet consists of 2 large moving vans as well as 2 van Sprinters which enable us to get into tight spots as well as navigate the city streets. That is right, pianos are heavy and bulky.
Regarding steps and moving any object of size, may present a higher degree of difficulty. More than just the steps itself, there may be a turn on staircase. If it is not a straight flight from the first step to the next floor, we would have turn to complete the staircase. Yes the piano will need to be tuned after the move.

I had a complicated piano move which involved bringing the piano from Texas to New Jersey. Patrick was able to coordinate everything and his guys did a great job taking care of the piano. I am very happy with their services and would recommend them to anyone!

MMS is absolutely incredible. They came to my brownstone in Manhattan to deliver my baby Grand up a very difficult and small stairway. They were prompt, nice, clean, efficient and achieved a miracle. I firmly believe no other company could have achieved this. They saved me so much money by not having to hoist it and my piano didn't have a scratch on it. I can not recommend them highly enough!

MMS has done 2 moves for us. Both times they were professional, reasonable, and moved everything without any accidents or bad surprises. Both times the movers were friendy and nice to deal with. Now they are showing great flexibility as we set up a 3rd move in a difficult situation where the date keeps changing. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

They were very easy to communicate with each step of the way. When emailing for a quote, scheduling the delivery, dealing with uncertain weather, etc. The bulk of interaction was via email but there were a few quick and efficient phone calls as well. I took a few weeks to set it up and wasn't spammed with automatic emails in the meantime which I appreciated. The delivery men were polite and pleasant- they gave some great tips and were in and out in under 10 minutes. It was a smooth process on both the pick-up and delivery side. The pricing seemed to be competitive/standard rate but it was the easy

Look no further if you need a mover. These guys are the best!!! I had them move my furniture into a POD in my driveway and move the furniture back into the house when the construction was completed. They are professional! they wrapped up my furniture so no damage would occur while in the POD. They laid down blankets on the floor so that my newly stained floors would not be damaged! John, the crew chief couldn't be more helpful. They even put felt pads on the legs of my furniture before they placed it in position. I will definitely use them again!!

I was referred to MMS Piano Movers by Forte Piano Sales and Repair in Paramus, NJ, and by my piano tuner Misha. I had a very good experience with MMS Piano Movers, to move my Wurlitzer Upright Grand Piano from my garage to my living room, (and as an add on the day of the move) to help me clear some debris from my basement. MMS was able to schedule my move for the next day, arrived exactly on time with a huge truck, and my crew of John, Kevin, and Jay, took care of my family piano as if it were a delicate baby of their own. They even folded my moving blankets! My call was returned the same day I

Do not attempt to schedule a move with these people. They moved the delivery time on us the day before the move, then moved it two more times THE DAY OF THE MOVE. They gave us less than an hour's notice that they would arrive 45 minutes BEFORE the 3-hour window we had been given. Then called back 10 minutes after that new time had passed to say they were just heading out and would still be another 20 minutes plus.
Bottom line: Sure, they can move a piano. And do a fine job once they show up. They will move it whenever they feel like however with no regard for the customer.

I've tried calling this business 6 times in the last week and a half. Not even an attempted call back from them. Not good business in my opinion. If one doesn't want the job at least have the courtesy to call and say so. If I could give 0 stars I would. In my opinion they don't deserve the 1 star I'm giving.

First word I can think of is respect. We contacted 7 different piano movers. MMS was the only company that called me back and said "can you please describe the situation we'd be moving the piano to". All other companies either quoted us a ridiculous price, or blew us off when we said there were two sets of stairs. (Turns out the stairs weren't even complicated once someone let me explain them) The actual move was very quick, and the piano came to the new location with no scratches or dents. Very happy with this business, and would gladly use again.

Used MMS Moving today to move my son from one apartment to another. They arrived on time, were very professional and got the job done quickly. They were very careful with all of his possessions. My only complaint was that we were quoted a price for 3 hours, including travel time to get to the job. When I went to pay, I was also charged an additional 1/2 hour travel time back to Waldwick.

These guys are pros. They moved a very heavy upright piano into my second floor apartment. We have steep steps with a very small landing and a couple of sharp turns down a very narrow hallway. The hardest part for them was getting the door removed off its hinges.
They treated my very banged up piano with the same care they would treat an expensive baby grand. I will definitely use them again when we move out of this place.
