Petromat Overlays

Petromat fabric is installed when doing an asphalt overlay. The fabric helps to extend the life of the overlay by creating a moisture barrier between the new and existing surfaces. Petromat looks like a thin black carpet made of non woven polypropylene material.
Installation starts with power blowing the surface, applying hot SS-1h emulsion oil which helps bonding petromat and new asphalt to the surface, petromat fabric, then applying the new asphalt overlay.The option of petromat fabric adds approximately 20% to the per square foot price of asphalt application however the useful life extension of the asphalt overlay makes the investment well worth it.
