Although we may offer many of the same services as other financial institutions, OMEGA Federal Credit Union is structured very differently. We are a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by our members. Surplus earnings are returned to our members in the form of higher savings rates, lower loan rates and low or no fee products and services.

You are eligible to join OMEGA Federal Credit Union if you live, work, worship or go to school in entire city of Pittsburgh and the region of Allegheny County North of I-376* that is described in greater detail below. If I could give negative stars I would. They have one branch open from 9-12 on Saturday. In this "transition" (which they only sent one brochure sized flyer in the mail about), they 1) locked me out of my account for a week. I had to go to a PNC atm to see my funds. 2) lost $350 of a refund from Amazon that was supposed to be in my account. When I called the hotline for help, I was told a specialist would get back to me in 3-5 business days. 3) they LOST MY PAYCHECK. As I'm paid on Friday, I didn't notice until Saturday morning. No worries! They're closed! I had to take

One of the worst banks I've had to date. I am currently working overseas, and have been with Omega the entire time. My debit card will intermittently be declined despite sufficient funds because I try to use it during prime hours here and Omega's system is offline for "daily updating." This is the only bank I've had that problem with (including other FCUs), and this has caused no shortage of public embarrassment.
Furthermore they will seemingly randomly adjust your "daily balance" you can use your debit card for (debit, not credit) and not tell you it has changed or what it has been changed to

Not only was he incredibly polite, but he showed me Top notch customer service and made me feel very welcome and appreciated. His knowledge of the membership process streamlined my visit and all questions were answered. If you are looking for a New bank and/or credit union, look no further. Go see Jim at Omega(Wexford).
