W.Y.S. is a 501c3 organization founded in 1989, missioned to enhance life chances through positive modifications in the social, moral and educational needs of youth at risk and families residing in the lower socioeconomic communities of Chicago. With over 15 years of mentorship under veteran educational institution, YCCS, Williams Youth Services has successfully served as a dedicated contributor to the overall success of Chicago's lost students.

Not all heroes have to rush into burning buildings to rescue victims - many save individual lives in a quieter way. They become mentors. As a mentor, you will have the power to give children an adult friend they can trust - someone who will listen to their hopes, fears and problems. Many times this relationship alters the course of a young person's life.
