I am seeing most patients via video conference but as vaccinations have increased, my office colleagues and I have begun seeing fully-vaccinated patients in person based on clinical need. We have also worked on limiting patient time in our waiting room and staggering appointments, thereby limiting the number of patients in the suite at any given time.
While most adults in Northern Virginia are vaccinated, professionals in our suite work with younger children who are not yet eligible to be vaccinated. Because of this, we still require masks in suite common areas, including the waiting room. This is also a mandate from the Virginia Department of Business and Labor Practice, applying to healthcare settings.

My practice serves a wide variety of persons, primarily working with persons reporting depression and anxiety. I work with children as young as seven, but the majority of my practice now centers on work with older adolescents and adults. I work with both men and women, but, as a male therapist, I receive many more inquiries from men.
This allows us to set up an initial consultation appointment. At this appointment, we would discuss your hopes and expectations for treatment and we consider initial goals, as well. It also gives you a chance to meet me and get a sense of whether or not we are a good match and are likely to work well together.
I am currently conducting limited in-person testing. Please call my office for information about procedures and whether a patient is appropriate given the changes required by social distancing and safety procedures. Psychological testing is done for a variety of different reasons. Below are some examples of the type of testing I provide and a brief description of each.
Payment and Insurance: Payment is due at the time of the session in the form of either cash, check, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express). As a healthcare provider, I am also able to accept cards linked to health savings and flexible spending accounts. I'll provide you with an invoice at the session.
