I started a few weeks ago and here is what I can say. This is the best program your going to find hands down. I signed up for GMAU and a few others to see which was best. Here is what makes GMAU the best. This is the only program that tracks your progress, what lessons you have watched, what assignments you have done etc.
They aren't going to give you rank you have to earn it, you earn your white belt on up. Sensei Jon and Sensei Michael are super responsive to any help you need or questions you have etc. There is no waiting days for a response. GMAU is honestly the best place to learn at your own pace and you won't find better lessons or teachers.

Black Belt at Home is the official retailer of Global Martial Arts University course materials. If you are not ready to enroll into the GMAU as a full at-home ranking student, Black Belt at Home offers you the full course, as a one-time purchase. You can purchase to own the course in a digital streaming/download version.
A full white to black belt course covering the traditional art of Shotokan Karate, upholding the curriculum of founder Gichin Funakoshi. As a Shotokan student, you will learn stances, hand strikes, foot strikes, blocking, katas, and kumite. An incredibly comprehensive course taking you through all combatives, defenses, weapons (gun, knife, blunt), ground defense, carjacking, multiple attackers, and more.
