We've been at this location over a handful of times. We just visited again Saturday night and only ordered appetizers as we were not very hungry. The food tasted good, but portions have gotten smaller over the years. Also, the rice paper wraps were filled mostly with noodles which was disappointing. The mango salad had shrimp sliced in half to look like you we're getting more. For the price, they could do better with portion sizes. We had the green papaya mango salad and veggies rice paper wraps in Hawaii that certainly outdid Indo for the same price! (Most things in HI are higher!)

I want to like this place so badly. I've tried it several times and I always feel like my expectations are not met. I like the menu, but the food is just OK...I wish it were better. Service is always slow and inattentive. This place is OK...it's a bit out of my way...so I'm always disappointed and I leave wanting a better experience.

The food was subpar, chicken fried rice and chicken sate was salty, and service was very slow. It took a little over an hour before the manager owner came to our table to see how we were doing. We told him we have been waiting for a little over an hour. Instead of owning up to an obvious fauxpas, he went into a rant and told us we should have ordered appetizer, that the food is made from scratch, and actually pointed out to a board in the corner stating there is appetizer listed on that board, as if we couldn't read the appetizer from the menu. The worst part of all, is that in fact we did order

The place has friendly staff and thats about the only good thing. Our experience has being very ordinary. We ordered a vegetarian fried rice for carry out but were given a chicken fried rice. Though the restaurant did replace with apologies, the food didn't taste well cooked. I don't think we will return there.

I've came to this restaurant many times and I'll continue to eat here. I have been to Bali, Indonesia NINE times in my lifetime, so if anyone would know what good, authentic Indonesian food would taste like, it would be me. All of the food is AMAZING, especially the potato fritters with the tomato sauce. I always order this every time I eat here. The beef satay (dipped in the delicious peanut sauce) is so soft and easy to eat, even for kids who may have a hard time chewing their food. The food pictured is what I ordered today and had a little bit of everything and took the rest of it

Fantastic surprise!
We ventured out on a sunny evening and we were so happy we gave Indo a try.
The curry beef was incredible as was the sweet and spicy chicken. Our server was pleasant and handled our questions but also let us enjoy the lake atmosphere.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for an outstanding experience.

We have been to Indo MANY times for carry out during covid and it has become one of our favorites. We love the sate, spring rolls, vermicelli noodles with short ribs (SO good), fried rice, mango papaya salad and beef soup (think pho). You do need to order at least an hour ahead of time as they are usually busy, especially on weekends.

We ordered takeout from here for the first time. The flavors were excellent and we loved the food, especially the sweet and sour tofu and the vermicelli with beef. But bring your patience. I placed my order at 5:40 on a Saturday night, and they said it would be ready at 7. They were really backed up and it wasn't ready until 7:25. Once I got home, I realized they forgot our egg rolls. I called right away and the owner was very apologetic and drove them to our house, along with a complimentary serving of potato fritters. YUM! Highly recommend. And I appreciated the extra effort. That was a

Always the best. I never knew what Indonesian food was, then I had this place, now I've prolly had it 50 times. Very healthy and lean food cooked in an extremely home style taste which is why it's so good. They know how to make spicy food for sure if you ask for it. Huge portions too. Curry tofu and Indonesian fried rice are best veggie options imo

I'm really saddened to write this review because I really wanted to like it here. My friend is moving to San Francisco and the last meal he requested was Indo, because it's his favorite restaurant in metro Detroit. I had high hopes for this restaurant, but was extremely let down. He was excited that I was finally going to try Indo today. My friends ordered a couple appetizers and ended up waiting 1 hour for it to come out; the potato fritters was over fried and the tofu was extremely bland. No one came over to refill our waters so we had to call out to our waitress- multiple times. The

Soooo good. This food is plentiful and flavorful. We always have leftovers for days. Dining in (when that was a thing) is a nice experience, it's always quiet and the staff makes pleasant conversation. The drinks are also extremely creative and potent. My favorite thing to get is the vegetarian curry. The owner is a neighbor of ours and is a really good guy.

First the food here is great by all means. Its fresh and has lots of natural flavors. The staff is friendly and the service is quite well. My problem with this place is that it seems like maybe the owner/manager? seems more interested in drinking than working. Also the average wait time for the food is like an hour and a half. So if you do plan on going here plan on staying for at least 2hrs and have a drink or five.

First coming in I loved the unique Indonesian decor. I came in for an event that featured Micheal Gregor. We were treated to a couple vegan dishes of the menu. First came came the papaya salad and dumpling. It was fresh and satisfying. I would of liked a dipping sauce would of been nice. Next came the soup. It was amazing! There was a taste, possibly fennel that made it so fresh and delicious. I think that was my favorite one would be back for that.
As far as the main dishes we had brown rice on top of broccoli curry, tofu dish and a bean vegetable soup. All vegan. All were pretty fresh taste

Indo is a hidden gem in the Keego/Waterford area.
Truly unique and authentic food and fantastic service are just around the corner from you.
A wonderful beer and mead selection plus reasonably priced wine list make this a great date spot.
They also offer a pri fixe multi course dinner that allows you to try a bit of everything.
We've tried a lot of dishes, but the peppercorn beef and yellow curry are standouts. The curry noodles, chicken satays, and green papaya salad are also notable.
If you are looking for a unique and authentic local spot, definitely check out Indo!

I went to Indo with a friend for lunch today and found the food very fresh and flavorful. The service was wonderful.
I had the BALADO UDANG - JAPANESE GARLIC SHRIMP. My friend had the BIHUN - VERMICELLI NOODLES. We shared the RUJAK - MANGO PAPAYA SALAD with shrimp. The salad we shared was so good that I ordered a second one to take home. Sorry about the caps! I'm cutting and pasting from the menu. 😂
I had mango nectar to drink. They do have a fully stocked bar.
If you're in the Keego Harbor area and like fresh food, check this place out.

I give this 3 stars because the people there are so nice. Despite this, the service was sooooo sllloooww! A simple dinner took almost 3 hours to complete. And that is WITHOUT dessert!!! Decor was bland. Food was meh.
On second thought, I just changed my review to 2 stars because, as I think about it, I really have nothing else nice to say about this place. Needless to say, we won't be back.

This place gets better and better every time I visit. I’m so happy that they have a vegan menu and a vegan night! That’s hard to come by living in this area. I love that their sauces are made from scratch. Atmosphere is relaxing, portions are worth it, and the staff is always helpful and friendly.

You can tell you're in the right place when the staff explains the dishes with such passion that you are 110% sold before you even try it. This is such a place! I arrived for my first visit on Vegan night. No meat! I had the curry vegan dish of a name I couldn't remember. A side of exceptional brown rice and a couple of vegan egg rolls. Everything was so damn good. There is a reason they made it into the Metro times!!!
I swear that awesome curry haunts my tastebuds... and it's Vegan only Tuesdays. Would this place make me actually switch to vegan? Only if I can eat it every day

This should probably be a 3-star review but the food was super delicious, so instead it gets 4 stars from me.
I rarely venture up to the Waterford/Keego area, even though I grew up near there, but a few friends wanted to meet here for dinner tonight. I saw that Groupon had a "pay $5, get $10 to use deal" and another friend got the same deal, only on Yelp. We saw that in the fine print it said "one per table" but figured it would be fine since we purchased them from different sites. More on that later ...
We ordered the potato (fried potato?) appetizer to split and it was

We were hungry at 10pm on a Saturday. This was one of the few places that was open till 11 ansd we had never been here. Stepping in, it was a huge surprise !......the ambience, the menu, staff courtesy. This has the most genuine Indonesian satay/grilled-chicken-on-skewer. My Indonesian friend guarantees the taste. Food is good, but the drinks menu is just awesome ! See added pics. Good to have discovered this place..... definitely coming back for more.
