We offer a wide variety of products and services, from propeller reconditioning and new propeller sales to custom fabrication and precise machining, we have a full service shop to meet all your marine propulsion needs.
Services
We are a full service Marine Machine Shop with full design and fabrication capabilities. Our welding department is ABS Certified Stainless Steel and Nickel Bronze (Ni-Br-Al). We also specialize in MIG welding, TIG welding, bronze, aluminum, steel and stainless steel. We can work from blueprints, sketches, broken parts, or full 3D CAD files.
At our facility, we have the capability of repairing all outboard and I/O propeller sizes as well as inboard propeller sizes up to 14 ft in diameter. For our commercial customers, we also offer out of the water on-site propeller services which may include repair, polishing, and NDT Dye-Penetrant testing.
If your shaft is repairable, we have the capabilities to straighten shafting up to 12" diameter steel, and 10" diameter stainless steel. We feature precision finished stainless steel Aqualoy propeller shafting in four different grades: AQ17, AQ19, AQ22 and AQ22 High Strength. Most crew boats in this country that service offshore drilling rigs are equipped with Aqualoy 17 shafts.
At Sheffield Marine Propeller, Inc., we use the Hale MRI propeller analysis system for performing detailed and accurate propeller measurement. With the MRI's comprehensive reporting capability, we can record and document the exact condition of your propeller, there by assisting you, our customer in determining the optimal repair service best suited for your needs.
At our facility, we have a full marine machine and fabrication shop and we have the capabilities to repair, fabricate or replace your damaged underwater hardware to include shafting, rudders, struts, rudder boxes, shaft seals and rudder seals to name a few. We also carry a large stock of Duramax cutless bearings, packing, zincs, and other marine hardware.

I just had the pleasure of dealing with these guys for the first time this last week. They were all super nice and gave me the kind of attention I get from places I've dealt with for years. I had a coupler I needed machined right away and they had it taken care of for me by the next day. Their responsiveness to my urgency will be remembered and I will definitely be coming back. I was so thankful for all the help we received when we were trying to get our boat repaired. Mike was so professional and he really explained a lot of things to us, so that we could get our boat on the water. And we did, and it was a relief because we hadn’t boated in years.
