Brought in a dress for alterations and paid $75 fee up front - after picking up the dress I was told I owed the $75- said I already paid and pulled up the transaction on my bank app- I could see it being an honest mistake but once I got the dress home I had tried on the dress and had to makeshift alterations with safety pins and and stitches so it wouldn't fall off- have no idea what I paid for - I will never go there again and caution anyone who does

Currently wishing I could give this place zero stars.. the lady working was a TOTAL b-i-t-c-h!! she was so rude, and seemed to be bothered by the fact that there were costumers asking her question, and she seemed to hate her job. if I were the management staff here (its a good thing I'm not) I would have fired her in .2 seconds for her nasty attitude, so rude.

I brought in my wedding dress in April. Finally, in August it was completed. They charged me $245. They were rude and have limited hours. When I finally got my dress, I was so unhappy, it was poorly done, sloopy and looked horrible. I took my daughter's bridesmaid dress to a home
seamstress and it was finished in less than a week. She saved the day and fixed my dress. She completely took apart and redid all of what Duckys did and it was done in 2 days!

My husband and I are in an upcoming wedding. We went in for a fitting and everything was great!!! The woman who did the fitting was seriously the nicest lady ever!!! She made the experience pleasant and fun! Brought my dress with because one of the bridal party is wearing a suit that another company was to supply but they have since said they no longer carry what she was wanting to wear so I was able to do side by side comparisons with my dress and other suits in store and she helped me do it! If the time comes we need to rent another tux or suit this will be our go to for sure!!

My fiance and myself found Duckys after we had a horrible experience at Men's Wearhouse. Our wedding is coming up in just over a month now. I purchased my dress from ducky’s and asked for it to be altered as well. I showed up to try it on after the alterations were finished and nothing was done. I was still charged for the alterations. The straps were not taken in. The zipper was not taken out. Overall very frustrating since my prom is in 6 days and I expected better from this place.

Very poor costumer service during a hard time. We placed an order for a flower girl dress with plenty of time according to their recommendations but the dress was delayed due to the supplier in China with Coronavirus. They never communicated the delay until we reached out 2 weeks before the wedding which was a week after expected it to be in. They stated it would be in Friday or Monday before the big day but did not arrive until the Friday before the wedding which was too late and refuses to do refund due to not being able to use it in the wedding. Very disappointed in the whole experience.

I can honestly say I've never been more disappointed in a store or customer service. Might I tell you, I was an outside perspective in the situation. I went with my friend to go get a tux. Right off the bat, the lady made it seem like he was an inconvenience to her time and was annoyed and rude. Might I add, she waited a solid 6 minutes before greeting us when we were clearly waiting for her. She then pulls out pieces and makes him try them on. She gives him a clearly WAY TOO BIG shirt. I have been here twice and have had wonderful experiences both times! Came in with my sister to buy a prom dress and the staff was so welcoming and kind! They suggested beautiful dresses, helped her zip, and helped us keep an open mind with alternatives. They also have a huge selection of dresses and designers to try on. The second time I came in with my boyfriend so he can get a tux for am event and the staff again was fabulous! They helped him find the right fit and style, plus the prices were way cheaper than we expected!

I would leave 0 stars if possible. The woman who "helped" me was zero help at all. Attitude was given from start to finish. I walked in wearing better fitting clothes than I will get when my tux arrives. I have been fit for suits multiple times and know that the garments used for sizing are not always slim/modern/fitted, but when I ask and the employee cannot even show me what I will be wearing or at least something similar, I know that what I get will not fit well. I own multiple suits purchased from a different store and have never been happier. Please stay far far away!

The absolute worst customer service. First of, their hours online are posted incorrect. We showed up on a Sunday when it said it was open SURPRISE, closed. Second attempt, we call to check they say yes we are open until 6. Arrive at 445, second surprise they close at 5. We wait 5-10 minutes to be greeted only to be given attitude by the woman (Tracy) who complains on the phone that she has to measure him. At this point I'm so shocked I barely have words. I wish I could personally tell each person who wants to use this for suit rental to run far and fast.

I came here just to look around for my prom dress. I admit, I wasn’t too fond of coming to Ducky’s for my prom dress. Ducky’s has definitely upgraded and their selection of dresses is pretty awesome! I started trying on dresses that caught my eye. Grace was such a good help and was able to see what I was looking for. She suggested a unique dress I NEVER would have thought to try and not only was it a perfect fit, I found THE ONE! I left a very happy girl and they helped me order my dress. I would definitely take a look at Ducky’s for any formal event you need a dress or tux for.

First- wouldn't allow my son to choose the fit of his pants. He requested a slimmer fit and after much argument she said that was ok. Upon pickup realized she must've thought she knew best and didn't order what we asked, so his pants were wrong. I called to verify a shirt color as we were torn between black or white. She crudely stayed she'd have to go look it up. I said ok, I'll wait. She was clearly annoyed at this. My husband stopped by to request the shirt change. She was angry and stated this should have been sorted out when it was ordered. The tux was brought back

I went in asked to be sized for a wedding; she told me it would be $10. I have worked at ,and managed a few big name formalwear establishments; and I have never charged anyone for sizing, or heard of any reputable place charging for it...it takes a few minutes!
Worst off they didn't measure me accurately; the coat size they landed me in was way to big, the shoe they had me try on was diabolically narrow, shirt was off

Leaving out today this was the third and certainly last time I go here. We've given them our business before for a tux for my fiancé. Since then, they haven't become any more warm, welcoming, nor polite. The customer service is terrible and I can't help but have this nagging feeling as to why given everytime were there, the other customers are being helped so urgently. I walked in today looking for a bridal Shower gown and was immediately questioned (not politely asked) what I "wanted". After responding "just browsing", she asks me again across the room no less

Almost a disaster! Went in was greeted by a somewhat stuffy older women who as I understand it her job is push on you the more expensive dresses. Their sizing method is in fact very confusing. I told her we needed to find a size 8 she barked at me " we don't discuss sizes, your a glamourous" So you have to search thru tags for ones marked glamourous. Horrible! Needed to get my wedding dress altered. Had three fittings. Even though I had an appointment at all three, the first two fittings they made me wait with my dress undone, which I feel is unprofessional. When I asked to look at baby vests, the girl showing me had very poor customer service and I had to ask to talk to the seamstress. Then when I went to put my dress on the day of my wedding it still had pins in the crinoline (not just 5 but the entire crinoline). I would have sewn it real quick but I didn't have time. I was tripping over the crinoline all day and pins were falling out

First off, The staff was pretty rude. They mumbled and took their time asking my wedding party and I if we needed help. The first fitting went ok, but my dad needed shorter pants and my groom needed a shirt with a bigger neck. I was assured the new sizes would be in our suit package for the wedding.

I took my nephew there to rent a tux for prom. They had a decent selection but were swamped with prom goers. The process took over 2 1/2 hours, seemed unreasonable, but given how many young people rent tuxes there for prom I tried to be patient.

Like he said. $150 for a tux. At least mine (the groom's) was free. Picked Ducky's cause they were in the town we were getting married in and with groomsmen spread all over northern Illinois we could get them all to get fitted relatively close to home whether in Chicago or the Quad Cities. Sizing in different locations didn't work that great - no continuity in information on pricing from one shop to the next. Some groomsmen got charged a deposit up front, others did not.
