Pediatric dentists care for children of all ages. From first tooth to adolescence, they help your child develop a healthy smile until they're ready to move on to a general dentist. Pediatric dentists have had 2-3 years of special training to care for young children and adolescents.
Research has shown that mothers with poor oral health may be at a greater risk of passing cavity-causing bacteria to their children, and periodontal disease can increase the risk of preterm birth and low birth weight. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recommends that all pregnant women continue to visit the dentist for checkups during pregnancy.

On the recommendation from our chiropractor, I brought my 13 week old daughter to see Dr. Kaplan to get her assessed for any ties. She did have both lip and tongue ties, which Dr. Kaplan released at the time of the appointment. My experience here was by far the best healthcare experience I have ever had. Dr. Kaplan was the epitome of an expert, but more importantly, spent time explaining how ties impact a variety of things outside of just breastfeeding. He was warm and funny in his delivery, too! After the procedure, an IBCLC sat with me while I nursed and gave me a bunch of great tips to achieve

Our newborn son was having difficulty latching, feeding and had limited neck movement in one of his sides. After chiropractic care, we saw doctor Kaplan for a consultation and our baby was definitively diagnosed with a lip, tongue and double cheek tie. We quickly decided to go for the oral surgery with the laser technology and dr Kaplan’s guidance. It was the best decision for us and we had our baby latch on the breast right after the surgery - no nipple shield necessary!! We are so pleased with their care and expertise.

Hanover pediatric dentistry was covering for weekend emergencies for norwell pediatric. They let me come in immediately, took x-rays and checked my granddaughters front teeth. All the time keeping everything low key. My granddaughter felt comfortable with everyone we met and they explained everything well. I would definitely go back to them in the future.

Dr. Kaplan and the staffs are amazing and very professional. My 2 months old had a tongue, lip and cheek tie, the procedure was very quick. I was so nervous and scared in the beginning but Dr.Kaplan was very friendly and gave me so many reasons not to be scared. I would definitely recommend families and friends to this location in the future :)

Came for a lip/tongue frenectomy evaluation for my newborn son and ended up getting the procedure since he was having trouble latching. The entire staff was incredibly professional and guided us through the experience. The surgeon was amazing and the IBCLC talked us through the post-procedure recovery, and methods to ease the healing process. I highly recommend this practice for your children.

I absolutely loved this place ! Came for my sons tongue-tie procedure . Although for me this was a far commute of two hours it was worth it . It was clean , and the staff were professional and compassionate towards my three month old getting the procedure done. I loved my experience at Hanover pediatrics dentistry and I will definitely recommend and will return for future visits. Worth taking the two hour drive . Best of all the doctor even reached out to us post - procedure to check on my little one . Which made this new momma happy and comfortable! Thank you !
