California has one of the toughest auto "lemon" laws in the country. However, Californians continue to have trouble persuading manufacturers to replace or buy back defective consumer products. There are a lot of Lemon Law myths out there. First, don't believe anything you hear from a dealership or manufacturer.
They will do everything to not have to buy back your car and hope that you will give up and go away. They may try to claim that 2 or 4 repair attempts within the first 18 months or 18,000 miles are required under the lemon law. But this is not true. A consumer need only prove that the manufacturer has been afforded a REASONABLE number of repair attempts DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD (not within the first 18 months or 18,000 miles of ownership).

Consumer protection law is all we do. For over 10 years, we have specialized in representation of consumers who purchased defective vehicles or victims of other types consumer fraud. Principal attorney Terry L. Baker is an active member of consumer advocacy groups in the consumer protection community.
Mr. Baker has practiced consumer law exclusively since his admission to practice law in 1998. He primarily practices in the areas of lemon law and auto dealership fraud litigation. Mr. Baker has extensive trial experience and has obtained verdicts in favor of consumers against BMW, Chrysler and numerous car dealerships.
California has one of the toughest auto "lemon" laws in the country. However, if our firm's caseload is any indication, California consumers continue to have trouble persuading auto manufacturers and dealers to replace or buy back defective vehicles that appear to qualify for such treatment under the terms of the law.
Has your RV been in the shop time and time again? Do you sometimes think it will never get fixed right? Have your dreams of traveling the country in your retirement or taking well-deserved time off now become a nightmare? After spending the kind of money you have on your motorhome (motorhomes can sell for $400,000 or more!), you probably don't think of it as just buying transportation but as investing in a home or a lifestyle.
Auto manufacturers HATE California's lemon law, which is rated the best in the nation. That's because every year thousands of lemon owners like you, use California's lemon law to make auto makers buy back their defective vehicles.
Car companies and their high-powered (and expensive) lobbyists in Sacramento are working behind the scenes to undo the state's lemon law and at the every least weaken the current law so they can stick you with their defective cars.Car companies tell lawmakers that the real problem is not their defective cars, but greedy and nit-picky consumers who are out for "the pot of gold."

I have a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox had a problem of losing power. My girlfriend drives the car and the first time it scared her to the point where she did not want to drive it anymore. I took it to be repaired and picked it up after the repair and had the same problem driving home. I took it back right away and left it to be repaired again. They called said it was fixed and I picked it up. I talked my girlfriend into driving it thinking it was fixed and two days later it happened again on the freeway. She called me and I got a friend to take me to get her and the car and took it to be repaired a third

I purchased a 2021 GMC AT4 3500 after having electrical issues on my 2020 GMC Denali 1500. Hoping to get away from the problems with the trade in did not happen. I thought the lemon process was difficult and time consuming so I chose to eat the tax and deprecation over calling the Lemon Buy Back firm. Boy was I wrong! We just settled on the inconveniences and safety issues with the AT4 and are now going back to my Denali for a settlement. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND GIVING THEM A CALL IF YOU ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH A NEW VEHICLE! They made the process as easy as can be and walked me through everything

I leased a 2021/Buick/Encore from GMC in 2021. After driving for the first time, the safety light on the dashboard would go off randomly. It is bright red. It goes off whenever I’m driving, making it dangerous for me to drive on the street and especially, on the freeway. It is startling. After taking it to the dealership, one of the employees turned it off but it continues to go off when I am driving without traffic. After about two months, the car developed a smell coming from the air conditioner whenever it turned on for more than 30 min. The engine did this about three times. The dealership

Exceptional services. I felt taken care of for the very first phone call up to the closing of my lemon case. My attorney Mr. Nic Dillavou was relentless and went above and beyond to meet my settlement goal. Behind the scenes, Lina Nahhas kept me fully updated with flawless organization throughout the entire case. I am happy to say that every need of mine was meant in pursuing lemon law for my BMW X1 2021 that had disastrous alignment issues. Big thank you to Nic and Lina!

I am so glad I found lemonbuyback.com. Lina Nahhas and Nic Dillavou got me the best result possible from FCA for my lemon. I leased a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee eco diesel for 3 years that has had the same consistent issue every few months. I sent several email complaints to the dealership and FCA with no reply. I was simply looking for a refund of 2 months worth of my lease (~$900). And although we were beyond 18k miles and 3 years in, I contacted Lina to see if they could help and she was confident they could. In under 6 weeks, they were able to get FCA to agree to a full buy back of the Jeep Grand

This law office negotiated a fantastic buyback deal on my 2017 Jeep Compass. This car started having problems 2 months after I bought it.. initially Chrysler denied the claim, but these people are bulldogs! Thanks to Lina Nahhas Nic Dillavou and the entire staff I'll be driving a new car soon. I highly recommend this firm.

This law firm is great! I had catastrophic engine failure in my brand new 2020 Ford F-150 at 2900 miles. They took my case and won and I got a full buy back. They got my loan paid off and I recovered every dime I had in the vehicle. They took my case on contingency and it didn’t cost me anything up front. I’m so happy I found them. I hope I’m never unlucky enough to buy a lemon again, but if I do, I will definitely go back to this firm. They were so helpful and friendly and professional. I can’t say enough nice things about them.

Our brand new 2017 GMC YUKON XL started showing transmission issues before it had even 15k miles on it. Upon numerous complains at the dealers the responses were everything between "not able to duplicate" to "functions as designed" - all documented over years of struggling over driving a broken car with 4 tiny kids including a special child.. until the factory warranty expired and the car just stopped in the middle of the highway one LATE rainy night on our way back home from the ER 😳.. Transmission needed to be replaced. And we had to pay 6k for the replacement because no warranty. That costed
