This is not the fault of the tire, but a handful of tire manufacturers do provide limited warranty coverage against such damage on certain model tires. These guy are the BEST. Not only do they know everything about tires, but they are kind...a rare commodity these days. I bought a very expensive set of studded snow tires and the next day my car died. The replacement car, of course, had a different size tire, and Seward actually gave me a VERY generous credit on the tires that had only 30 miles. Who does this!!! They do, and there's nowhere else I will ever buy a tire!

My newly bought pre-owned Prius seemed to be very unsteady, drifting over the road. I took it in to Sewards to make sure it wasn’t a major issue.
They rotated a couple of the tires and test drove it. They assured me that nothing was wrong, and charged me
14$.
They could have easily taken advantage, and I think a lot of places would have done just that.
They were friendly and didn’t make me wait.

I was in Great Barrington, over 800 miles from home, when I smelled something burning in my right rear wheel assembly. I had no other symptoms, and the smell was gone the next time I drove it, but I wanted it checked before the long drive home. It's the perfect setup for a merchant to take advantage of the customer. Not these guys! They test drove it, pulled the wheels, checked the tires...the works. Just $50, and I got peace of mind. You can't do better than that.

Seward's Tire was the only tire shop that volunteered to work out some warranty problems with Michelin. 4 other dealers declined including a Honda dealer ( these were OEM tires on a Ridgeline that developed very premature dry rot - apparently a know problem with Michelin Tires of this type.) Great people!

Family business; they are professionals, and they do a good job because their name is on the door. Unlike corporate options, this place is in it for repeat business. I ALWAYS check pricing with the "other guys". Sam's Club, Mavis... Sam's was less by $1 per tire, but after "other charges", they cost more... and they are not local, nor do I trust their service department to be as careful as Seward's.

The people here are super nice. And totally competent. I've been in many times, over several years, as I put a lot of miles on my cars. As an example, they got me set up with some Nokian winter tires that were amazing. You probably will be able to find tires for lower prices elsewhere. So you have to decide if paying a bit more is worth better service, and the convenience of being nearby.
