Since 1960 Stagecraft has provided exceptional products and customer service. Our theater equipment can be found in your local school auditoriums, performing arts centers, churches and studios. We have withstood the test of time and are the most sought after specialty contractor in the western United States.
I wouldn't mind building another theater just to have the opportunity to work with Stagecraft again. Our district places a very high priority on safety and we are always looking for opportunities to do a better job. The service your company provides us in maintaining our stages is highly valued and we hope to build on that by continuing the safety training each year.

Stagecraft is proud of its family of technicians, crafts people and installers, many whom have been involved in the theater world and many who have been part of Stagecraft for over 20 years! Our people make the difference. The headquarters for Stagecraft Industries, Inc. has been located in Portland, Oregon since incorporation in January of 1960.
Stagecraft Industries was originally known as the Stagecraft Shop, a small division of a school supply company. The 'shop' provided equipment for the educational performance space that happened to be sold along with chalk boards and desks. They introduced many innovative designs to accommodate the needs of the educational performance space that also needed to be used as a classroom.
This is just a letter to thank you so much for the lovely stage curtains. They are so beautiful and add so much to our stage! I wanted to also tell you that you had an exceptional employee install our curtains. He did a wonderful job, was flexible and worked around our schedule, was positive and professional.
Stage curtains serve many purposes. Their primary purpose is to mask, or hide, the backstage area from the audience's sight line. This includes all of the stage lights, rigging hardware, rear and side walls, props and performers. A great moment in performing arts is that of the anticipation just as the lights dim and the curtain opens to reveal the stage scenery and performers.
Stage rigging is a term generally describing how equipment on stage is suspended and/or moved. Rigging can be dead hung, manually operated or motorized, and serves many purposes. In a dead hung facility, the rigging is used to suspend equipment and does not move. If the rigging can move, its primary purpose is to move scenery, stage lighting, or curtains in the backstage area up into the fly loft, or down to the stage level.

Stagecraft has been great to work with! They did our original rigging, and are always just a phone call away if I have an issue. Everyone is patient and knowledgeable and always willing to answer any questions or address any concerns. My annual inspection was painless :), and also a fabulous learning experience. Can't say enough good things!!

We have had a very frustrating negative experience with this company. When we first moved into our new space we talked on the phone with one of their "experts" and explained our needs of needing to divide our large space into two rooms in order to teach on both sides of the room. We heard about these "acoustic" curtains and decided to talk to them about it. We explained our needs very clearly and had one of their experts come to our building to look at our space.
We wanted someone in Portland so that we could have an in person meeting at our space in order to get their opinion on what we needed
