Kalyani Yoga
Kalyani is an inspiring, informed guide who understands the ways in which our minds and bodies communicate with one another. She helps us to open the pathways that lead to long term health. I recommend her highly. I find Kalyani's classes to be the easy to follow, she gives clear easy to understand instruction.

No two classes are just alike, there is always a new move or two. If you communicate your aches and pains those areas will be targeted. As 25 year runner I had no idea how strong yoga would make me but, It took me over 2 years before I started actually listening to her and now the final healing has begun.
Services
Kalyani has been practicing yoga for over 20 years. Her passion is finding wellness through yoga. Kalyani began her teaching journey with YogaFit and then chose to dive deeper into the holistic aspects of yoga by completing her RYT 200 with Vimela Ren Fields, Integral yoga teacher and wellness expert at The Healing Arts Center in Fredericksburg, VA.
To share the joy of yoga with every "body", regardless of shape, size, level of fitness or mobility. You so helped me get my mind back in tune with my body and showed me the way to a calmer, happier self. I am forever grateful for that. I have learned all sorts of things on my journey to being the best version of myself I can be, over the last 6 years, and life is wonderful when you find that place.
If you have never done yoga before, beginner yoga is the class for you. Group classes can be intimidating, but in a private yoga lesson, you will have plenty of time to ask questions and explore. Be guided through some basic yoga postures to get your practice started. Gain strength and flexibility while moving within your comfortable range of motion.
All equipment and accessories will be provided: yoga mats, blocks, straps, blankets, eye pillows and bolsters. During the initial phone consultation, we discuss your goals and requirements, and schedule the date, time and location of your sessions. Your voice is so mesmerizing. I listened to your podcast while sitting in my chair to see what it sounded like.it's the most calming and relaxing thing I've ever listened to.
Surrender completely into supported postures, with very little movement. Best for healing injuries, reducing stress, and overcoming fatigue. You will release stress stored deep within the body and leave feeling renewed and recharged. Alternative healing modalities can be incorporated into this deeply healing and relaxing practice based on stillness.

I've practiced with Kalyani for several years now. I love the cadence of her voice. She tailors her classes to the students and encourages us to be gentle to ourselves. She takes the time to break down the asanas so that we get the benefit of good alignment. All this and a bit of vinyasa makes for a well rounded practice.
