At The South County Pre-Kindergarten Co-op, we believe that a child's work is their play. Young children learn best by doing. Learning isn't just repeating what someone else says; it requires active thinking and creative experimenting, while benefiting from the participation and support of parents.
Children need to manipulate blocks, try on dress-ups, interact with each other, squish Play-Doh, finger paint, cut-and-paste, and try a variety of other activities to be successful learners. Play provides the foundation for the rest of their learning.

My four children are all graduates of the school and the social skills and the fostering of a love of play have served them beyond measure. All four have thrived in school and have made honor roll or principals honor roll every single marking period. They have made lifelong friends that they went to preschool with as have I.
After the morning class dismissal at 12:00, the children that are staying will take a short rest (15-30 minutes) with soft music playing. Then we will wash hands and get our lunches and eat lunch together. The children will then read books and do puzzles while we clean up the tables and get the classroom ready for the extended day.
