Best Chicken Parm I've had in my life. The cook Ethan was a very nice young man who made my food just how I like it. He seriously went above and beyond on the food. The parsley leaves on top was a wonderful touch. Our server was also a very polite young man. Name was Lee I think. Anyway, food was great, service was stellar. The place was clean and professional. My business partner was very impressed by my taste in establishments. I will be holding all of my future client lunches and dinners here. Great job all around.

Our family went to the Brick House for a birthday celebration and because we had a $60 gift card. There were 7 of us on a Thursday evening that wasn't too busy. Two meals (Greek salad and chicken tacos) were very good. The evening special, Seafood Alfredo, was the same price on the menu and was just ok at $19.99! The boneless chicken wings and children's chicken bites were barely edible as they were very much overdone. Prices were high, but the atmosphere is pleasant. As we left, our waiter ran after us accusing us of stiffing him of 35 cents. It was a mistake as 2 twenties of

Went on a double date with some neighbor friends. I ordered the ribeye and asked for medium rare. The cook on the steak came out to be more of a medium. Nice sear, but not much seasoning to the steak. Star of the dish was the mashed potatoes, creamy but smooth. For the sautéed veggies, would have preferred something like broccolini instead of zucchini and onions. My neighbor friend ordered the porkloin and the cook was kinda dry, but the habanero sauce that came with it was tasty. Brussel sprouts were sautéed, but broiling them would have been better. For the price of the items, was expecting

A friend and I went for dinner on Saturday night. First time visit myself and 3rd time for friend. The restaurant was busy--full but still some open tables. We were seated promptly, and our server, Cherry, visited the table within the first couple of minutes.
Cherry was very helpful in answering our questions about beers and wines served and was willing to spend the time and never made us feel rushed. Once we decided and ordered our drinks, they were served within just a few minutes. This same level of excellent service continued throughout our entire dining time.
I had the Crab & Shrimp

Ok... the food here is OUTSTANDING and portions are plentiful making this a serious bang for your bucks!
Been here several times and only have encountered one recurring issue...... Leadership in this place is LACKING and the workers don't help each other.....
If the front counter is busy with call in orders and to go orders... as I am glad to see in this great place.... you will wait, and wait and wait for the one person doing all this to seat you... never mind MANY other employees will be just standing there staring at everyone waiting but unwilling to do anything about it....

The restaurant is part of a hotel. Kind of a fancy place. It was difficult to locate because it is on W Lincoln, on the Western edge of Charleston. Food was great. We ordered crab cakes and a Greek salad, really high quality ingredients. Great service. the only thing we didn't like it's that the place was empty when we arrived and the next group was sited right by our side when all the other tables were empty. The place has inside and outside dining. Be aware that additional fees are applied when using a credit card

Great Meal!
First the atmosphere is great. The dining room and bar are beautiful. We sat on the patio which is also beautiful.
Drinks are priced well and wine prices are beyond reasonable.
Our meal... fantastic! I had the ribeye (which was cooked perfect), I didn't miss a baked potato because the smashed potatoes were amazing.
My husband had the shrimp dinner also perfection. I don't know what they do to the rice to make it so good, but you should definitely try it!
We found our new spot when we come to visit our daughter at EIU!

Try and find an upscale restaurant in a small college town - Brick House fit the bill and the bill was reasonable (No pun intended). The four of us ordered something different: salmon (delicious), crab cakes, shrimp, and Chicken Parmesan. All were delicious and good size portions. The light eater's crab cake appetizer was generous. Soups were good and the Sampler appetizer was a hit. Service was great, the waiter was very attentive. No complaints about the Brick House.

Went to the Brick House while staying at the U Hotel. Be warned: this place is small. Only seats 40-50. The food came in a reasonable amount of time and my Penne Alba was pretty good. The tomato bisque was AMAZING.
We ordered a ribeye meal for a child with dietary restrictions. The meat came back RED. Sent it back to the kitchen and it did not appear that it had changed. Doesn't work for a young child. Ended up just feeding appetizers and veggies.
The bread came at the end of the meal. I was confused, too. Might go back out of convenience to the hotel, but wouldn't go out of

I have been to this restaurant 3 times and the third time was a charm. Waitstaff are in general confused and inexperienced.
On my last visit, my friend had to ask for her beer twice. When I ordered a pasta dish without meat and add mushrooms she said yes of course. I added the risotto bites appetizer to the order. I ended up with an entree that had both meat and mushrooms with a side of risotto.
They apologized and took everything back and brought the order I requested. The entree was not very good. When we got the bill they had charged me for the mushrooms I asked for to replace the chicken

I had the unfortunate opportunity to attempt eating at the Brick House on January 3, 2016. The service lacked any sense of attention, importance, or speed. My fellow guests and I waited over 45 minutes from the time we ordered our food to being served. My water was never refilled, and the server / bartender gave our table no attention to detail (for example, we only received napkins and utensils after asking for them).
The most disconcerting moment, however, was the food. My mango and strawberry salad was hospital food quality. The mango was no where near ripe or edible, having the consistency

This place was depressing. The food was sub -par. $10 Burger with fries, dry and plain as can be. Everything was so bland. Do they have seasonings in their kitchen? In a hotel too so you get guests walking around the lobby post-cigarette in their swimsuit and robe. A man at the table next to us was cutting his nails at the table. Whole experience put me in an awful mood. Yuck.

Mediocre food and service. The place appeared to be only moderately busy (we were able to find an open table on the patio almost immediately), but disorganized and poorly run. We ended up clearing the table ourselves (moving the dishes to a nearby table, which was still not fully cleared when we left), but were never able to get our table wiped down, even after we requested it. The service was friendly, but haphazard and inattentive. For example, even after we communicated a dairy allergy in the context of salad dressing, the server still didn't know when the entrees came whether that person

I went at lunch, so I didn't have as many options as the dinner menu, but I got the ham and bacon panini with steak fries, which was solid, no complaints, had a really nice beer list, some I hadn't even heard of, for the app we got spinach artichoke dip, and in a rare twist, we actually had way more dip than chips! But it was really good dip and I dipped my fries in it, if you're staying at eastern its a good somewhat fancy place to go and not spend a whole lot of money
