Angela Fierro grew up with an admiration for the big white house on Quality Road. Greeted by Emily, the home's gracious owner, a visit there was always a delight. Angela, a life long resident of the small town of Lattimer, would depart dreaming of one day owning the beautiful home. A love for cooking and involvement with the public have consistently been a part of Angela's life.
Pennsylvania has more than 2.5 million acres of state parks and forests and Emily's Bed and Breakfast is central to more than 30 state parks in the East region alone! Hickory Run State Park, a thirty minute drive, is a large state park with over 40 hiking trails and a breathtaking boulder field. Another popular state park that's a bit of a longer day trip is Ricketts Glen State Park.
What an amazing time! First of all, I was drawn to this place because of the amazing reviews. I kept reading about how wonderful the food was, how super clean the space was, and how charming the rooms and common spaces were. Emily's did NOT disappoint! In addition, I received a pleasant surprise. The backyard was a private haven.
Emily's Bed and Breakfast is the ideal location to hold your special occasion. We provide a relaxed Victorian atmosphere and beautifully maintained lush gardens for your private events such as bridal and baby showers, birthdays, anniversary celebrations, business meetings, class reunions or dining with family and friends.
Our most spacious room, reminiscent of the Victorian Era, is decorated in the colors of mauve, burgundy and hunter green. A king size, cherry sleigh bed, matching armoire and ornate ceiling fan are the focal points of the room. A wingback chair and antique marble top table aside the remote controlled fireplace make for a relaxing and romantic retreat.
