Cumming Dance Academy opened its doors in 2003 as a studio designed to provide quality dance education, character development, and performance opportunities for both the recreational and pre-professional dancer. CDA offers classes and private lessons in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, pointe, musical theater, contemporary, lyrical, Irish, and more for dancers ranging from 2 years old all the way to adults.
No matter the age, skill level, or background of the student, CDA prides itself on being a place where all dancers feel known, challenged, and valued during their time with us. With a professionally trained staff and faculty and a community that feels like family, at CDA we believe we're teaching far more than just dance.

Services
Cumming Dance Academy is a family-oriented studio that has been a fixture in the Cumming community for over 18 years. Since founding the studio in 2003, Owner & Artistic Director Niki J. Watkins has remained committed to providing the children of the area a loving and professional environment to foster their love of the arts.
Please note our tuition prices are based upon a 37-week season (much like school), and we average your annual tuition out into monthly installments. CDA actually only charges students for 35 weeks of classes - building in 2 extra week of classes for FREE! This covers any unexpected closings or inclement weather days, and therefore, no make up days are needed.
We offers private lessons to CDA students looking for a one on one experience or additional technique instruction. Private lessons are the perfect idea for a student looking to improve technique, catch up on a new style, or looking for additional time with an instructor. Rates may vary depending on instructor and availability.
If you could be a part of any band, which one would it be and why? If I could be a part of any band it would be a toss up between Glenn Miller and his Orchestra or Fleetwood Mac. I love the swing band era! And he wrote and arranged music for other GOATS such as Artie Shaw and Benny Goodman. For several years they held the title as the Number 1 Band in the Country.
Students are initially placed into classes based solely on their age or grade. If instructors observe that a student needs to be placed in a higher skill-level class (if available), movement into a new class will be approved at that time. Our goal at CDA is to create a space where all students (regardless of technical ability) can have a fun and positive exposure to the art of performance and dance.

My daughter has been attending CDA for 3 years now. She loves the instructors and the staff are so nice and accommodating. I have seen them truly go above and beyond. Their Christmas and you're in performances are incredible. All of the dancers are truly talented. We look forward to many more years here.

We have been with CDA for a few months now! My daughter absolutely loves to go and her teacher! Anytime I have a question or comment CDA is always quick to respond! Very professional and have always kept the parents in the loop of things by sending out WEEKLY reports which is amazing. We love CDA and plan to continue dance for a while! Thank you CDA for being so great to my little dancer ❤️

My daughter has danced here since she was a preschooler and is currently in 6th grade and enjoys dancing competitively. She had truly loved all facets of her dance education. The bi-annual performances are always amazing and the teachers truly are the best. True professionalism from the staff makes it a very easy studio to navigate. Great studio!
