Services
When Cradles to Crayons was created, Doreen & Peter Gill were determined to provide a center that offers an intensive academic program that prepares the children for their elementary years. Being very familiar with the juggle between family life and the corporate world, they have had to make difficult decisions for their children and understand the importance of a valuable program and a nurturing environment.
Administrative responsibilities include finance, research of new programs, state regulation compliance, policies, literature and advertising, staffing, center tours and enrollment, parent communication and overall center maintenance. Maria has her BA in Education and is a certified teacher who joined Cradles as a teacher of our Pre-K program.
All staff at Cradles is CPR & First Aid certified. Classes are held at the center to guarantee that these requirements are fulfilled. Our infant caregivers are hired according to their nurturing personalities and must have previous experience of at least 1 year at another center or a child related occupation such as a private nanny.
Over the past years, Cradles has concentrated on making safety and security one of our top priorities. With the use of Suprema BioEntry Plus system (fingerprinting identifying technology), background checks on every employee, our Health policies and our Safety policies, Cradles is continuously working hard to provide a safe environment for the children and our families.
Cradles to Crayons offers a very successful emergency drop in program to professionals in the area. Lawyers, consultants, small business owners, and moms with an appointment to attend, participate in this program when they find the need to complete a task without distractions or when their current child care is not available.
